Experienced Technology Executive, Entrepreneur and Business Advisor
I am an accomplished executive with proven marketing, sales and general management skills and have built strong organizations, grown revenue and opened new markets for a number of successful technology companies.
Today, I work "hands-on" with the Toronto's next generation of entrepreneurs, helping them turn their big ideas into successful businesses. I provide my clients with a mix of CEO advisory services, strategic and operational consulting and embedded executive engagements. In addition, I work as a Volunteer Advisor at MaRS where I consult with emerging technology companies.
I have extensive US and international experience (including Europe, Southeast Asia and South America) and my background spans a variety of industries including financial, medical, science & mathematics, industrial automation & robotics, geomatics, electronic design, education and e-Commerce. I have worked in start-up, high growth and turn-around environments, and have a strong technology background and deep experience with all forms of marketing, channel development and strategic partnerships.
I started my career at S-S Technologies, where, as VP Sales & Marketing and later as President, I led the company’s growth from start-up to $25 million in annual revenue. Since then, I have held a number of other executive management positions, including CEO of Waterloo Maple, COO of PCI Geomatics, and VP Marketing of both Electronics Workbench and Truition.
I have also served on the Boards of Directors of several private companies and high-profile industry associations.
