I have been working with Tom in partnership with Livestream and Formula Drift for the 2013 season "Driftstream" Live webcasts. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Tom since our first event in Long Beach in April, and after 6 events he has continually raised the bar in user engagement and production value. Most importantly, he does at all with a very positive and diplomatic attitude. I would recommend him to any sports organization looking grow their fan base online, and I look forward to working with him for the rest of the 2013 season and beyond.

We worked with Tom on a new product roll out program in conjunction with Formula D and DriftStream. We were very pleased with the overall success of the suggested program and its implementation. We received excellent value and results with Tom's dedication and efforts in our behalf.

Over the 2013 Formula Drift season, Tom produced the driver profile series "Battle Tested" for Dailymotion. Myself and my colleagues at Dailymotion have been more than satisfied by the results. Tom's work has resulted in premium content that's as exciting as the sport requires. He understands how to not only create great web video, but how to package, deliver and promote it professionally and effectively. It's been a great experience working with Tom and Formula Drift.

Tom, speaks the language of tech and customer engagement and yet he never ceases to amaze me with his ability to translate complicated technical solutions into easy to understand (and sell!) consumer opportunities. When you add in Tom's active listening ability you have that rare tech savvy yet fully engaged consumer marketing expert. He understands the task assigned and gets the job done without drama.

It is a pleasure to work with Tom at Formula Drift events. He has a great work ethic, is very creative and an all around great guy. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and would be a great addition to any program, company or work group.

I find this recomendation a bit challenging to write simply because the relationship I have with Tom is a dynamic one that spans a few years. I first met Tom when he founded Yoparts and started producing the live stream for Battle of the Imports. Since then Tom has gone from the guy I would ask countless questions about car parts, to the person I look to for feedback, guidance, or advice whenever I am working on a new project. Indeed he has become a trusted advisor and friend to me and I am forever grateful to have had the opportunity to work for him as well as with him.

Tom has the uncanny ability to keep his finger on the pulse of not only the the automotive aftermarket and motorsports, but also on that of emerging technologies and new web properties. His entrepreneurial mindest consistently has him moving forward no matter what obstacles may come his way. He is a dedicated proffesional, and exceptional manager, and above all else a trustworthy individual. Truly he is the type of person anybody would want on their team.

Tom has been instrumental in the success of Formula Drift's online presence with the implementation of the very successful driftstream. He was always forthcoming with creative ideas and gave me a good insight on a lot of media platforms which i was able to use in my marketing / sponsorship proposals and ongoing negotiations with media partners. I hope to continue working with Tom into the future as he is a genuine asset.

Tom brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Formula Drift DriftStream.TV. His ideas and management of the assets and people of the DriftStream.TV program has increased the exposure and interaction between the fans online and the races, drivers, and teams. A definite plus!

If you wanted to get creative about things and keep your costs down try this.

Dropbox business for $795 a year / unlimited storage

"Embed from Dropbox

The second option requires at least a basic understanding of how HTML embed codes work. It’s not complicated, so don’t be scared off, but it’s also not copy and pasting an embed code from YouTube. You’re essentially creating your own embed code.

You start with the following HTML5 code as a template:

<video width="320" height="240" controls="controls">
<source src="movie.mp4" type="video/mp4" />
</video>

Now, follow the steps above on getting the link to the video. Then, where you see “movie.mp4,” you’ll want to replace this with that link. For example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/os60r63ogwfl408/your_video_here.mp4.

Next, you’ll want to adjust your width & height. You’ll want to use dimensions that best fit within your site. I use this handy little chart to help me figure out the best size to ensure maximum size compatibility.

When you’re all done, your embed code should look something like this:

<video width="512" height="288" controls="controls">
<source src="https://www.dropbox.com/s/os60r63ogwfl408/your_video_here.mp4" type="video/mp4" />
</video>"

At BuySellAds.com we make it really easy for independent publishers and content producers to do exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Check out how easy it is to embed scheduled sponsorships to your site. http://blog.buysellads.com/2013/new-bsa-pro-feature-scheduled-sponsorships/

We also allow publishers to install a sales widget featured here that combines all the pertinent demo data that Charlie mentioned. ex. http://www.cultofmac.com/advertising-with-cultofmac-com

This allows advertisers to schedule and sponsor directly from you.

Tom Masiero answered:

Make sure your long term strategy is tied into your short terms tactics.

Tactic - method or technique to achieve a immediate short term gain, run ads, sales calls etc.

Strategy- A carefully defined detailed plan to achieve a long term goal. The overall position you would like to achieve.

So not knowing your long term strategy.. I would venture to focus on having your core customers drive that growth.

Referral programs for existing members to recruit new members get discounts / months off etc. (Think Dropbox)

Run a contest based around your current members that would naturally invite them to share that experience.

This article by Ben Chestnut founder of Mailchimp really embraces the strategy of laser focusing in on current customers.
