With over 13 years of diverse experience in marketing communications and advertising, Mate is dedicated to help brands adapt to change by providing simple solutions to their complex challenges. He gained in-depth expertise in brand development, strategic and tactical brand communications and operations management, while working with several global and local brands at more than a dozen holding and independent agencies in London, Prague and Budapest (Publicis, DDB, Grey, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, CDM, PAN and AS&K, just to name a few).
While having gathered a large part of his professional experience in the pharmaceutical advertising and medical communications industry (Bayer Healthcare, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, GSK, Janssen, Gilead, AstraZeneca, Teva and Takeda), Mate has retained a solid integrated marketing communications background (Heineken, Colgate-Palmolive, L’Oreal, Nestle, Hewlett-Packard, Coca-Cola and UK Government).
In 2016, Mate founded Water Lily Pond, a 100% flexible, global marketing communications startup. Water Lily Pond is a tight-knit collective of international experts in branding, creative and tech development — all with an average of 10 years’ experience and niche skill sets. The team members have had the pleasure of working with some of the biggest global and local brands (BMW, IBM, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Pfizer, Vodafone, etc.) at leading ad agency holdings or independents (WPP, Omnicom, Publicis, Interpublic, etc.) around the globe.
A Hungarian native, and a keen English and French language enthusiast, Mate’s global mindset originated from the early childhood years in Algeria, and his passion for people is cultivated via exploration of many cultures on four continents, including six months in S/SE Asia. He’s a true free spirit who is energetic, compassionate and craves creativity, and enjoying martial arts, meditation, point n’ click adventure games and house music.
