Two things that immediately come to mind would be use of webinars, that allow for audience participation, covering a specific topic of interest to your audience for either a small attendance fee or as part of a premium subscription. I would lean more towards the premium subscription for the recurring income.
The second would be to make regular book and audio resource recommendations from Amazon, providing your Amazon affiliate link to pick up the resource.
As the saying goes..."Your network determines your net worth."
Even if there is not a business relationship to be had from this meeting, you both will have a greater awareness of one another's businesses. This provides opportunities for referrals and the possibility of later joint ventures.
Aside from that, you are likely to benefit from the unique insights and experiences that are shared by this individual.
You should establish mutually agreed upon milestones. The investor has a right to expect a minimum degree of performance in return for the risk they are taking.
When milestones are not met, the terms relationship has to be redefined. Poor communication will not only destroy this relationship, but it is likely to sabotage any future investor relationships as well, since a negative reputation will be following you.
Typically the login email used for social media accounts is an email address that the individual monitors on a regular basis. In a world of multiple email addresses, this is the ideal address to have.
In my own businesses those email addresses are added to an email auto-responder system that allows me to have an ongoing dialogue with my subscribers. In that dialogue I offer my products and services on a regular basis.
Ideally you want to offer your list consistent value. Your offers should be presented as a solution to a problem or a tool for making life simpler.

Lead generation is day to day part of not only my personal business, but also for my clients.
The first step is identifying your target audience. Not simply that they are accredited investors, but more importantly their motivations. It is from this point that your funded proposal can be created.
The funded proposal will offer information, solutions, tips, etc... in exchange for their contact information.
When you schedule your call with me, we can discuss what that offer would like like and how to deploy your lead generation strategy across a diversity of channels.
I have found great success with developing an affinity group (e.g. German Shepherd owners, muscle car fans, etc...) and then interspersing the content with offers that address their interest.
For example a group of pet lovers is encouraged to share their pictures and videos of their favorite pet. In the midst of those posts, we will then share a related offer such as pet food, pet supplies or other accessories.
The key is developing a sizable audience that shares the same interest. Get that group submitting the content and then introducing offers as part of the content flow.

There are a few factors that you need to consider when looking for the right mentor.
1. Find someone who has demonstrated success or competence in the areas that you are focused on.
2. Find someone who resonates with you.
3. Ask others for recommendations
4. Look for samples of the prospective mentor's work (e.g. blog, Youtube, etc...)
5. Be completely clear on what your expectations are for the mentoring relationship.

Make yourself accountable to a 3rd party for the execution of your plan.
Clearly define what steps you will accomplish by what date and give that individual permission to not only follow up with you, but also give you tough love as needed.
It may also be helpful for you to speak with an objective party about these fear issues. Identifying the root of these fears will help to ensure that you overcome them, so that they do not continue to manifest in other ways even after you have implemented your plan.
If there are legitimate reasons for your concerns, you may need to seek the insights of a trusted adviser to shore up those areas of perceived weakness.

Your strategy begins with the end user in mind. It is critical that you clearly define the avatar, so that you are developing a strategy to match their felt needs.
You can have the best funnel in the world, but if it is not created around the end user, it will woefully under perform.
Schedule a time to really identify the key components you are needing with this business.
I would set ground rules for providing assistance. Make it clear that you will no longer listen to complaint or negativity as it is counter productive. Let them know that feedback is always welcome, but it must have proposed solutions if it is to be taken into consideration.
