I know Alexander since the time when I worked at the US Commercial Service (US DOC) in early 2k's. We had interacted on several project finance and trade finance deals, which involved export of goods and services from the USA to Russia. Alexander impressed me as a goal oriented and experienced professional who was effectively building communication bridges between Russian and U.S. government officials, between financial institutions, U.S. manufacturers and Russian importers. His excellent education, knowledge of the two countries, of the cultural and political aspects of bilateral relations, of the state sponsored trade support programs and agencies, combined with a great network of contacts made him one of the best achievers in the area of U.S.-Russia trade relationships.

I consider myself very fortunate to have met and worked with Alexander in the very embryonic stages of developing a market in Ukraine, primarily focused on financial institutions.
