In the past 20 years, I have worked in various positions within sales at technology companies that are the pioneers in Predictive Analytics. I was lucky enough to embark on this journey in the early days of Data Mining and Business Intelligence; it has been an amazing experience to see how my major B2B customers have transformed their businesses by adopting data-driven solutions to make more effective decisions and be better prepared for what is around the corner.
More than 3 years ago I started a new venture as Sales Director at MarineTraffic, the world’s leading provider of ship tracking and maritime intelligence. Monitoring vessel movements are at the core of what we do. Building on a base of data gathered from our network of coastal AIS-receiving stations, supplemented by satellite receivers, we apply algorithms and integrate complementary data sources to provide the shipping, trade, and logistics industries with actionable insights into shipping activity.
As a sales leader, my mission is to navigate and support my sales reps to become industry experts and trusted advisors of our customers. Behind the scenes, my main goal is to continuously drive motivation, enable new skill development, and mentor the team in the importance of following a solid sales process that will lead to success. Above all, I believe that having a positive mindset is a powerful means to influence your team and to help transform the company’s culture.
Outside work I have a passion for travelling and learning of local cultures and history. I love to connect with people and learn their stories and passions. I have also started to explore wine tasting and have organized little escapes to small villages around Greece to discover small wineries.
