Robert is a passionate leader with unique insight into the intersecting worlds of entertainment and technology. A true futurist, he studies emerging technologies and can envision trends and the impact they will have in the entertainment world. Further, he has the ability to then execute on these focused large-scale strategies.

But perhaps more importantly in the long run, Robert understands the value of people. Value not in the sense of the bottom line, but more akin to the core reasons that inspire people. He cares about all members of his team and will actively pursue paths to learn more about them and then actually take steps to help them. Robert really enjoys people - which is distinctive and why he excels at building and leading teams.

Robert Gonsalves is a class act. He and I worked together side by side almost the entire time I was at Disney. There is a level of trust an executive always seeks in a management team, and for me with Robert that trust was absolute. We agreed that we would do the Disney family name the honor it was due by attempting to walk in Walt's shoes in a virtual world Walt himself never imagined, and we accepted that challenge as a privilege and a partnership. Robert and I were always on the same page, fully willing to debate each other on tactics, but never dissonant on strategy. Robert acted essentially as COO, ensuring that every detail of our creative work was enacted with excellence, passion, care, and respect. His loyalty knows no bounds, his integrity is of a level that can only command emulation. To this day his aspirations reside solely in doing his best, to know that he has done his best, and to help others do their best.
