MenuMy sales funnel is only performing well on ads from Facebook's similar lookalike custom audience. However, the reach is below 200k. How do I scale it?
The Lookalike (similarity) audience is created from our list of over 20k emails. After the audience is created I segment this into male's above 22. This leaves a reach of 196,000 which doesn't allow for scale. What can be done to increase the reach while still getting the same results? I have tested other targeting options for thousands of dollars already.

I don't know if you have tried this yet, but sometimes having a lookalike custom audience that is 99% similar doesn't always preform better than the lookalike audience that is 97% similar.
If I were you I would go through AB test each of the different lookalike audiences, so try 99% vs 98% vs 97% vs 96% vs 95% and see if the less similar audiences will still give you good results, because they should also have a larger audience group for you to market towards.
Also have you AB tested interest groups? I'm not sure what your exact niche is but i've worked on campaigns where certain interest groups preformed better than the lookalike audiences.
If you're spending a decent amount of money on Facebook ads, having a professional go through and AB test your ads can be a very good idea. It's the difference between having a good ad & knowing you have a perfect ad.
When you created the Lookalike, did you slide the scale to maximum for reach instead of similarity to increase the numbers?
Who is your ideal customer and can you give me the landing page URL? I could potentially offer a couple of suggestions...

Hi, first congratulations with already being ahead of 99% of advertisers on Facebook by using Custom and Lookalike audiences. If Lookalike Audiences are performing the best, the first step that you could do is expand the lookalike audience to 'Reach' to include more people. Sadly, that's pretty much everything you can do with lookalike audiences.
The next step that you could do, if you haven't already, is install the remarketing pixel on your website and set up the website custom audiences - those would allow you to remarket to everyone who visited the website but haven't converted yet and show them highly targeted ads by the path, keyword or specific URL on your website (this could be achieved through third party tools, like Perfect Audience too).
You mentioned that you have tested other targeting options, but there might be some space for improvement too. For example, have you done any split-testing by ad placement: desktop, mobile and sidebar? Have you used 'excluded audiences' so that you are not showing ads to your current clients? Have you tested numerous visual variations under the same campaign? What about looking at the reports and identifying the best performing age group and their location? Also, which bidding method have you used: oCPM, CPM or CPC?
Even though you have already tried targeting by interests, you could use Facebook graph search to identify more common interests that your clients have by entering "Pages liked by people from United States who like ABC and XYZ" into the search, just substituting ABC or XYZ with the relevant brand name or interest.
I hope that gives you some ideas. If you had any more specific questions, I'll be glad to discuss it further with you over a chat.
Cheers!

Need a good lead generation strategy for chiropractors for getting new patients. Ideas?
I think Facebook is great for really targeting your audience and you’re on the right track. But I think you can have a better funnel than that. I find, for getting better conversion today, it is better to get your Facebook traffic off of Facebook as fast as you can to your offer and into your funnel. It is more effective for driving actual sales. If you’re just looking for social branding etc. then your funnel might be ok. A very effect strategy is to create either a video or report that you give away to your audience in exchange for an email. It should be something that helps solve or bring to light the problems patients are suffering from and how to go about solving them. Then mention how having a great Chiropractor can solve all of that and can be the most effective way to get ride of the pain. I would also have some things in there that would help them in other ways. Then I would send them to an event or webinar with your top Chiropractor and you in an interview / reveal-all type webinar to educate your lead and manage their fears of going to a Chiropractor. You could tell them that the first step is making an appointment for an assessment. You should make it easy for them to find the best and most effective Chiropractor in their area. You might have a discount on the assessment only available to them for being on the webinar to get them to sign up at the end of the webinar. By the way, once this is recorded, you can make this evergreen so you don't have to do a webinar all the time. As long as you are reaching more and new people with your Facebook campaign you won’t have to change the video all the time. Once you have people signed up to make an appointment, make sure they are also putting a deposit of a 100 dollars or something down. This will increase your show rate for the Chiropractors. Then give them a voucher for that Chiropractor, for more than you’re asking for at the deposit for services, to use with that Chiropractor. Allowing you to prevent cancelations etc. so that their getting their money back in the form of a voucher for services which, by the way, is not a discount and shouldn’t diminishing your Chiropractors Rates. This strategy I have used in several markets that has produced more prequalified leads and patients / customers. Remember to test, track and know your metrics. You’re going to need to make some tweaks in the beginning, but this can be very effective for you. So to recap: 1. Setup a landing page with your offer in exchange for an offer. You can build this in software like Leadpages.net or Megaphoneapp.com 2. Make your offer downloadable if an ebook or white paper or present your video after. I recommend using Wistia instead of YouTube for playback as you will be able to have heat maps of your video to know where your fall off points are. You can also make this page with the software mentioned above. 3. Use an email autoresponder to engage your lead and email them about the event you’re doing after they had time to read or download your materials. Or, if a video, I would just pitch them at the end with a link below the video to automatically register. 4. Put on a webinar with your guest using either GoToWebinar or Google hangouts if you know how to set that up. 5. Make sure you have your appointment getting page with your the down payment created. You can use several different type of scheduling services so you can automatically deliver the lead/ appointment to the chiropractor. To Note: The reason I don’t send the visitor to the webinar first is because it is better to get the visitor predisposed to your information before asking them to commit to a webinar and when you do it the way I played out, you will have a much better show rate. This is it in a nutshell. Obviously there is more to it. If you need another funnel idea I am hear to help. I have used other effective strategies in the past to also make money on the front end to make your advertising free. It just depends on what you want to do and how advanced you want to get. Hope this helps give you some ideas. :) If you need help implementing something like this just let me know.

How did Snapchat boast a solid user base within a short period of time, compared to Facebook and Twitter?
I've been in the picture messaging space for a while now with my apps Lutebox (voted one of London's top ten most loved apps) and now Click Messenger. I've written a few articles about the space including a recent post about the Future of Mobile Messaging. Snapchat started out as an app called Picaboo, which pretty much did what it does now (prior to the latest update with chat and video calling). They quickly rebranded but saw a little uptake in user numbers and had quite low downloads for several months. Then around Christmas 2011 one of the founders' mom had told her friend about the app, who told her kid and her kid basically then spread the word throughout their high school in L.A. That was what really blew up their download numbers as it spread across teenagers at local high schools. As far as I know they didn't advertise in the early days, relied solely on word of mouth. Also it is assumed that they have a solid user base. Comparatively speaking, their user base may be in the low tens of millions, which may a great base of users, but nowhere even close to being as big as Facebook or Twitter. I'd be happy to speak about this in more detail or about the picture messaging landscape and what I believe to be the future of mobile messaging.

I have a facebook group with over 6000 members. It is a lot of admin-work. How can I make profit out of this group?
There are different ways that you can make a profit from a Facebook group. The key is to understand your audience and know what type of services/products they would be interested in. You can charge businesses or companies that are looking to target that specific audience a flat fee and post their products/services on their behalf. You can add affiliate links for products or services that are relevant to your audience and earn commissions on the sales/leads generated from those links. You can sell advertising on a CPC basis. Etc...

What is the best advertising platform for generating revenue for a skincare startup (1 product offer)?
Hi There are Facebook advertising techniques that would allow you to target competitors followers, related beauty or skincare pages followers then target them with your advert going to a landing page with a buy now unmissable offer to capitalise on your conversions. Because most people do not buy first time, I would then re-target them with the offer on their Facebook newsfeed so they do not forget you, adding to your conversion. Facebook is by far the cheapest for adverts Google would be crazy prices for this type of product. You could also look at placing with affiliates and let them do all of the marketing work and your cost would be fixed, but there is a lot of competition for affiliates in this sector so maybe difficult. If done right on Facebook with a laser targeted campaign with landing page you should be looking at $0.25 to $0.30 per 1,000 views with a decent conversion making the cost per conversion very low. When you target people you know would be interested in your product it is always best to do a CPM campaign rather than a CPC as this is a waste of money, if launching this product there is no market price other than competitors products so you can show it as a high price then do a landing page with a launch offer only available for a limited time with a count down clock, even offer referral discounts if they share on Facebook. Hope this helps

What is the difference between #topics and precise interests when choosing audience on Facebook ads?
Topic targeting is a broad way of targeting people who've expressed interest in that topic or "related topic". It's a good option if you want to create awareness, do branding or generate likes. But when your end goal is sales/leads - it's good to go for precise interests as that's like exact match - and it ensures that you're reaching only those people which you're actually targeting - not related ones.
