25+ yrs as a technical communicator and trainer. Launched Pixels & Verbs, LLC, in 2005, which provides varied services, including technical and general writing, training and staff development, desktop publishing, business analysis, digital photography, and management consulting. Have developed and led documentation departments for several technology start-ups, including creating a doc style that complements corporate branding. Have written docs as both a solo writer, a team lead, and a team member. Have large course library for classroom or 1:1 training offerings that includes MS Office Apps, Adobe products, and other common tech skills, as well as soft skills (time management, organization, etc.).
Involved in local community. Mentor a high school robotics program on non-engineering topics. Founded a nonprofit in 2010 to help fund the robotics competition programs and continue to serve on its Board of Directors.
