In my career during the last 15 years as a consultant, manager and entrepreneur I’ve aimed at understanding society, sustainability and innovation from a holistic point of view. With a background in Geology and Environmental sciences I worked for half of my career in the environmental field, first as a consultant and later as an environmental manager at my alma mater.
During this time with diverse and complex projects, everything from brownfield remediation and ISO14001-development projects to stakeholder involvement and integrated management systems in an regional development setting, across a dozen or so countries in the Baltic Sea Region.
I took part in NUROPE, the Nomadic University of art Philosophy and Enterprise from 2006-2011 exploring the interaction between culture, management and entrepreneurship.
I’ve run a school as the executive director, taught and worked with kids K15 and at university with youngsters. Currently I’m enrolled in a programme to become a certified team coach specialized at product development.
I think my greatest strength and the benefit for my colleagues and clients is that with my wide background I can look at things with many different “lenses”. Therefore also understand the person on the other side of the table, having worked in a multi-cultural and international environment and lived outside of my native Finland in Scotland and Estonia, helps with this as well.
