Mark Christian has 20+ years of sales, business development, and market development experience in the oil and gas, aerospace and defense, and industrial manufacturing industries in North America, Europe, and North Africa.
Mark began his career working in the oil and gas industry, first on a workover rig performing well maintenance, and later rising through the ranks of the operations department to the headquarter office. After many years of successful performance, he was promoted to his first executive role with an international well servicing company at the age of 32 years old.
Based in Tripoli, Libya, Mark served as Vice President of Operations and concurrently led business development for nearly 10 years. In addition to managing the company's field operations, he developed global customers on three continents for technical oilfield products, drilling, completion, and production services, engineering services, and consulting services.
In 2011, the Arab Spring swept across North Africa and the Middle East and subsequently led to a civil war in Libya. Mark was forced to suspend operations and return home. He has since led growth initiatives for numerous multinational companies, including GKN Aerospace, Ingersoll Rand, and Elliot Management, and was recruited by Merla Wellhead Solutions and Nuverra Environmental Solutions to accelerate revenue growth in North America.
Today, Christian is President of CHRIS Well Consulting, LLC. (CWC), a consulting firm he formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2014. CWC is laser focused on utilizing business development, market development, and market research and intelligence services to create top-line revenue growth for companies that supply products, services, and capital to Oklahoma's oilfields.
CWC also serves non-oilfield industrial companies that are developing product lines with potential applications in the oil and gas market such as advanced materials, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, electrochemical machining, infrared spectrometry, nanotechnology, and membrane technology.
Mark advises global companies that develop highly technical products, services, and emerging technology. His track record of identifying new vertical markets has enabled him to monetize next-generation intellectual property for some of the world's most advanced corporations.
He attended Westminster College where he majored in political science and international studies and served as President of the student government association. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Association of Energy Service Companies (AESC), American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), and Oklahoma Energy Producers Alliance (OEPA).
Mark's professional interests include electrochemical manufacturing (ECM), wireless automation, AI, robotics, IIoT, infrared spectrometry in gas cloud imaging technologies, and H2O recycling membranes and electrocoagulation technologies.
