Before Shell, he was a CCS Team Lead & Advisor at ExxonMobil leading CCS engineering design & operations teams for the ExxonMobil Labarge Shute Creek facility & Houston Hub
Partha brings 15-plus years of Expertise in Energy Industry, including 10 years working on gas injection, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), green hydrogen, & Lithium, most recently as the Development Manager at Shell. H2 has had accountability for Technical, Commercial, Business/Economics, & operations across multiple Geographical regions
Additionally, Partha provides strategic advisory services to organizations to navigate energy transition & has undertaken projects for a variety of clients including international organizations, heavy industry, waste to energy, private equity, & Corporations
As Development Manager for Shell, Partha worked across the Upstream, Downstream, & Integrated Gas Directorates to support Net Zero Emissions (CCS, DAC, biofuels, hydrogen, & sectoral decarbonization ambitions). In this role, Partha worked with the President of Decarbonization & was responsible for resetting Shell’s CCS strategy & then building an organization from inception & developing the capabilities to deliver across the full TECOP (Technical, Economic, Commercial, Organizational, & Political) spectrum. This included governing Capital Investment for the global CCS project portfolio, covering Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), Direct Air Capture (DAC) Green Hydrogen Lithium, & lowering the carbon intensity
Partha worked with multiple governments & regulatory bodies to create business-enabling CCS regulations & legislation. He managed a global portfolio of CCS hubs spread across Europe, Asia, Canada, & the US with a combined CAPEX budget of US $1.5 billion & FEASEX of US $200mln & delivered the Northern Lights CCS project, in Norway through FID to start in 2024
He wokred with Country Chairs of Exploration & Development in Shell's Upstream International Leadership Team responsible for Development, including activities between discovery, production, & significant capital investment
