I've spent the last fifteen years building and running consulting delivery organizations — first at a SaaS EPM company called Syntellis where I led implementation across 100+ higher education clients, and now at Tru Consulting where I run a 60-person team doing $20M in delivery revenue across higher ed and public sector.
Most of my time is spent on the unglamorous stuff that actually determines whether a consulting org works: how you staff projects, how you integrate offshore resources without the quality falling apart, how you build practice leads who can actually run things without you, and how you keep clients from churning when the inevitable goes wrong.
I talk to people about three things:
1. Running delivery organizations. Not theory — the actual mechanics of how you build a team that performs consistently at scale. Hiring, structure, revenue per consultant, quality control, the whole thing.
2. What's actually happening with AI inside consulting firms. I'm in the middle of it right now — rebuilding how my org operates using automation and AI tooling. I have honest opinions about what's working and what's mostly noise.
3. Career moves for senior consultants. If you're a Director or VP trying to figure out your next move — whether that's a new firm, going independent, or breaking into delivery leadership — I've been through it and can give you a straight answer.
I don't do vague. If you want someone to validate what you're already thinking, I'm probably not your guy.
