Peepal Consulting is a Recruitment Partner with Wipro and I still remember the first few weeks of struggle Peepal had to go through to get a Contract signed. Vijay, being a go-getter that he is, undoubtedly clinched the Contract and started his journey with Wipro when hundreds of other Partners co-existed.The true surprise came within 6 months when he scaled upto being one among Wipro's Top Partners in the Finance arena while Partners' downsizing was happening in Wipro and a whole lot of them got knocked off the list.He has ever since maintained consistent performance. For a young Company as his, I believe it is a true feat in itself. He is very clear on the kind of requirements he can work on and will outrightly convey to the Recruitment team if something is beyond his scope lest there be any false promises made. Kicking-start an organization(Peepal) in an industry as competitive as recruitment at the age of 27 is no mean feat. Having registered Peepal with ERA, in true characteristic fashion he has created the waves that has propelled his stature to reach the pinnacle of the Bangalore Chapter in April, 2008 after being nominated the Convener, just over 2 years into the industry.

In my humble experience of working with him, I have learnt tremendously from his wide array of abilities. As a manager, he can inspire you to achieve what is seemingly beyond reach and when you do, recognition, you can be sure is coming your way.

I know Vijay as a good friend, my b-school buddy, and an entrepreneur with whom my organization has a professional relationship. What comes across consistently across all the 3 dimensions of our association is: Vijay is a clear thinker - knows what he wants to achieve, backs it up by conviction & passion - that raw gut feel, and can be a dependable professional.

Not always easy for someone with a b-school degree + a couple of years of working for second-to-none corporates, to start off on his own, but Vijay's done it and holding up nicely. Runs in the family, he might say, but No - he's got it in him to be an entrepreneur.
