How do you get a job at the UN without any contacts in the industry? Are you tired of sending out waves of UN applications that never go anywhere? Is it really necessary to submit an endless amount of applications? What do these job positions require and what do you do to get the UN job you want?
Have you been without a United Nations contract role for a few months and finding it difficult to get back on the UN career ladder?
Are you a recent graduate looking for advice to get a foot in the door of the United Nations or looking to understand more about UN internships?
Why call me & what services do I offer?
Gaining a job at the UN, isn’t like most professions and requires thought around how to build your experience and skills to your desired role. It is a very competitive field and a field where not many people share lots of insights; I am happy to make this journey easier for you and to share what I've learnt through years of first hand experience. I provide feedback on your CV and cover letter, provide tips and techniques for the application process, help you find where the positions you are looking for are advertised, and give advice on what you could do (experience, networking, languages etc) to get closer to your dream job!
I am familiar with the HR system of the UN and will provide comments and suggest changes on how you can further improve your application documents using UN job specific language/keywords. I have personally been on numerous interviews with the United Nations, from technical tests, written assessments, sonru interviews to face to face panel interviews and am happy to share my knowledge and skills with you. I advise, based on my personal views and taking into consideration previous experience what questions could be raised for interviews.
I provide guidance on how best your experience could be demonstrated to fit key areas of a UN job vacancy. I cannot guarantee a successful interview and anyone that does please treat with caution, what I provide is increased confidence through sharing my learning having been through the process and having had a successful outcome on several occasions. I can help you discover your unique value proposition and will provide suggestions for you to best tailor your UN application documents to the specific UN job description.
If you want to change jobs or even careers, you'll likely need to reinvent yourself and how you're perceived by UN recruiters. We can talk about the process and strategies for your transition.
