Operating in a transaction heavy industry, this coffee shop was in desperate need of an easy Point of Sale system and Accounting software to seamlessly cater for their daily activities, with the need for a user-friendly system acknowledged as a prominent requisite for the staff.
Upon review of their unique circumstances, I provided them with an efficient, easy to use system using Vend and Xero.
Vend is a Point of Sale, inventory and customer loyalty software that makes it easy to set up, manage and grow your business.
Xero is an online accounting software providing uses with the ability to access their accounts from anywhere at anytime. Xero is a web-based system consisting of module designed to manage invoicing/billing, accounts payable, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping. It can be integrated with other cloud based applications to form a complete cloud based solution for businesses.
Using Vend and Xero, this coffee shop is able to track all coffee sales per customer so they can determine who their top ten customers are. Since implementing Vend at this coffee shop, more staff members are able to process sales due to the simplicity of the software. One particular feature that differentiates Vend from many other Point of Sale programs is the ability to allocate a specific button for each item. For instance, this coffee shop has been able to create a button dedicated solely to ‘Large Chocolate Frappes’ as opposed to coding it under several different categories like Beverage: Chilled: Frappe: Chocolate etc., thereby reducing time and confusion.
Furthermore, the integration between Vend and Xero allows all daily sales to be pushed directly from the Point of Sale software top the Accounting platform to be balanced and reconciled against the daily EFTPOS and banking totals.
