MenuBest way to manage a QSEHRA (Small Business HRA)?
Answers
As an expert in small business, small business HRA can be best managed if the reimbursement on healthcare are done and all employees are included into the insurance. It is prudent to handle the insurance and factor it in your payroll to avoid penalties. It is worth purchasing a software if the assignment is bulky but if not, consider doing it in your usual payroll. However, you can still buy the software for improved efficiencies and easier retrieval of information.
If you have decided to implement the qualified small employer health reimbursement arrangement (QSEHRA), or small business HRA, it is important to manage and administer it appropriately. Here are three key points to keep in mind when managing QSEHRA:
a. Update your plan concurrently with staff changes: One of the few certainties in life is that it is constantly changing. Likewise, your company is certain to see staffing changes through the years as employees move on or retire and new workers come on board. As your business evolves, it’s crucial to update your QSEHRA to reflect changes in personnel, as the eligibility parameters set forth in your QSEHRA plan documents must line up with the roster of workers enrolled in the QSEHRA.
b. Record reimbursements and store documentation: You should also take steps to ensure your business properly documents reimbursements and stores the documentation in accordance with IRS and Department of Labour rules. Under federal law, businesses are required to show documentation verifying at least seven years’ worth of HRA-related expenses and supporting documentation. For more in-depth guidance on documentation, see IRS Publication 583.
c. Evaluate allowance amounts annually: At some point, your business may wish to change employees’ monthly allowance amounts under the HRA. You can do this if you follow proper QSEHRA notice requirements. Many business owners include a monthly allowance adjustment as part of their annual benefits review.

What WordPress plugins (especially free ones) would you suggest for running a site offering subscription content?
As every membership site is unique in its needs & requirements, it's a hard question to answer with one plugin. I would start with Paid Memberships Pro (which is free) and consider alternatives based on your site's needs.AL

How would you monetize a weekly email newsletter for physicians?
Well, ask yourself who would want to get in front of physicians? I know a doctor who likes to go to Las Vegas for continuing education classes. There is a company there who offers this training. I bet they'd love to either sponsor this kind of publication or make you a sales affiliate. Really, the possibilities are endless. Once you've got the audience you can sell access. Hope this helps. What is the best way to reward our back-office positions such as accounting, admin assistants, HR, etc?
As someone who has worked in administrative positions for the better part of a decade, I will say: being seen and recognized as part of the team goes a long way. This can be simple - sending an email to congratulate your team on achieving a goal? Send it to the folks the back office positions, too, and call them out in the email as being part of the success. A coffee shop gift card with a note that says "thanks for your work on this project" tells us that you see us, and you see how hard we work. The more information your administrative and clerical employees have about the company goals and objectives, the more they can be involved in meeting them. Take them as true partners rather than peripheral positions - this helps them stay engaged in the work, which helps both you and them. I'm happy to chat further about my experience - I've worked in huge corporations and small businesses and can help you brainstorm more solutions for rewarding your team.GI

New COO clashing with two most important veteran employees
Almost all my clients have the same issue as yours. So your challenges are not unique. While making positive business progress is a wonderful thing, external growth must come with relevant similar pace of internal growth. It seems that you are using the same old management approach/ style despite your business has grown from 1 or 2 people into current size. It is no more purely a number game now, mismanaging people will lead to loss of knowledge, valuable customer, profits, and growth potential. Your backyard is having fire currently means your internal support team is having some challenges and you may have uneven growth in some business functions - immediately you should investigate the following areas: 1. Review your management approach/ style and system 2. Review whether you are capable to manage C-level employees. 3. Review your human capital policies and culture diversity 4. Review, whether you have clear/ appropriate a) accountabilities, b) roles and responsibilities, c) committed budget, d) monitoring and control system, e) KPIs, etc 5. Revisit your mission/ vision/ expectations, adjust if necessary. 6. Review workflows and communication models to identify what has triggered the conflict(s). I think the above should help. Upon making the reviewing, you may already have action plans. If you still have problems, feel free to drop me a messageJQ

What Is the best pricing structure for a digital therapy app distributed by healthcare providers?
So the firs thing I wonder about this is not what the price will be, but how will you get mental health providers to integrate the app into their workflow? What is the ROI specifically that would make a company want to buy this? How can you justify the cost with the value provided? Is this something that can be billled for? What is the entire interaction between the patient and the doctor? Is the doctor going to get paid for using this? What is the benefit to the provider for implementing this? Once you understand the perspectives and experiences of every individual who is touching the product then you can start thinking about price.MM
