I've known Ami since she was a student in my third year Marketing course. During this time, she and a classmate formed TheLink to reach out to high school students and allow them to participate in the university experience. TheLink is still running well over a decade later thanks to the solid foundation Ami helped to build.
I taught her again in fourth year, and again she excelled. Ami is one of the most forward thinking, motivated young women I have ever met. I've been fortunate to have stayed in touch and followed her career as she moved through a series of expanding roles at P&G growing the hair care category. After she returned from doing her MBA, I worked with her to develop a variety of marketing communication projects for my fourth year students and so I was able to see firsthand her dedication and professionalism.
Ami has never settled to do just one thing well. She has been a go-getter for a long as I've known her. While still at school, she was actively involved in a number of volunteer and entrepreneurial pursuits. I coached her team to a top 3 finish in the very first LaunchPad $50K competition and so know how hard she is willing to work to achieve her goals.
Peekapak is a great example of Ami's ability to bring new thinking to an industry. Peekapak will shake up the primary school system with its creative approach to teaching and learning. Children and their teachers will benefit and parents will easily be able to be more actively be involved.
I've known Ami since 2002 and have seen her excel at everything she has set her mind to. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind she will succeed with Peekapak and much, much more in the future.
