I've been using perfectaudience.com and found great success. It's very easy to use and the results have consistently been above average. It's Facebook specific but where are most people spending their time? Facebook.
I recommend to all my clients that they use a combination of Google AdWords remarking, and Facebook Exchange retargeting (FBX). Google AdWords remarketing lists can be built seamlessly using your site's Google Analytics tag (as long as you've linked AdWords and Analytics accounts, and updated the analytics code ... https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2611268?hl=en)
For FBX, PerfectAudience or AdRoll are both great options. I tend to use AdRoll more, as it offers some great other retargeting options too (via their extensive non-FB network of sites).
Shout if you need more help.

What factors could prevent online display ad spending from hitting $21 billion and surpassing search spending by 2015 as eMarketer forecast?
Source: I founded a major display ad tech business. (What about Google's prediction of $100B by 2017?) I believe there are a few key things that need to change: Publishers need to wake up and stop forcing buyers to use old school hand-to-hand combat direct sales methods (where 70% of the current market $ is). Make it easier for people to buy from you, and more people will buy from you! Transactional friction must decrease. It is 10 TIMES more expensive to spend a dollar on a TV ad as it is to spend a dollar on a banner ad. (3 cents per branding dollar for TV, 30 cents for web.) We need measurement practices and attribution other than the click through rate, which was good for performance marketing but bad for branding. The big budgets want something better in order to track their spending. Engaging but unobtrusive creative formats. "When's the last time a banner made you cry?" Sight, sound, and motion on TV are still far better than banners at eliciting emotion. This needs to get figured out in order to enlarge the market.JR

What is the most user-friendly way to display mobile ads as of November 2015?
I use ad monetization tactics to drive revenue for global mobile game brands. (Phase 10, Skip-Bo, Scattergories, etc.) Finding a way to monetize your users with ads without pushing them away is definitely a delicate balance. Answering your questions depends on 4 main factors: 1) Type of App 2) Number of daily impressions 3) Location 4) Revenue Goals. There are a number of ways to display ads in your app. Some include; banners, static interstitials, video interstitials, rewarded video and native ads. The most acceptable way to display ads in your app will depend on the factors I stated above. Are you trying to design your own solution or are you looking to partner with different ad networks (there are hundreds)? It is important to understand the types of partners and what types of ads are right for your App. I would recommend using an ad network mediation layer when you build your solution so you can 1) increase your fill rate 2) diversify your ad offering 3) simplify your reporting 4) maximize your revenue. If you would like more specifics just let me know, I would be happy to help you out.JS

When bidding on CPM traffic through a self-serve RTB DSP, what are the most efficient strategies for initially choosing sites/apps, and setting a CPM?
The answer depends on your situation: You could be a start-up that is more concerned with not blowing tons of money, or you could be in a rush to be done. In both situations, your objective is to find inventory sources that work quickly and then massively scale into those inventory sources. I am going to assume that the goal is to be efficient. In this case, I would start with relatively few inventory pieces and a pretty low bid. The goal of your experiment is to determine what inventory DOESN'T work while spending as little money as possible. By concentrating your spend on a few pubs, you can get to significant results quickly. If you spread out your spend, you won't generate enough clicks or backend actions per inventory source quickly enough to determine if one is actually working. (In my latter user persona, you can simply spend gobs of money to get significant results on lots of inventory quickly.) So the moral of the story is that you want to get to results, you have to scale the number of pubs you work with to align with the amount of money you are planning to spend. You would like to, within a day or two, rule out bad inventory and focus on new inventory, or alternately, make massive investments in working inventory to print money for yourself. I would be happy to do a call to further discuss.BH

How to invite trial customers for a new (SaaS) Product?
I would storngly suggest you to consider a 4th optinion which is much cheaper and with a higher chance of giving you return. I've personally used this strategy to start my consulting business from 0 to 12 clients in the first 3 months. Here's exactly what you can do. How You Can Generate 5 to 10 extra Trial Customers per week using Linkedin It is NOW the moment to leverage Linkedin’s full potential. In the future, this social network will start to get overcrowded (see Instagram and other ones that in the past were money-printers for the first ones who fully understood them.) How to leverage Linkedin to generate leads? 1- Use your personal account to post relevant content. Don’t put external links (if you really have to, write them in the first comment and tell people to look at it) as the post which includes them are penalized by the Linkedin algorithm that tends to make people remain in their platform. Use Quuu.co. if you want contents related to your niche posted every day on your account, but don’t expect an engagement from those. The best posts come from your stories, what you’d learned, and they give the hell out of value to your audience. 2- Select your target audience. Just hit the search button and look for the location, title/position, etc. where your leads are. 3- Optimize your profile. Treat it like a sales letter, but more related to your person. Firstly, write something eye-catching on your headline, for instance, “Contact me if you want to generate more leads for your B2B Business.” Then the first paragraph should be customer oriented (explaining the benefits of working with you/your company.) After you can tell more about yourself, and of your story if you’d like to. You can check my profile to have some inspiration. 4- Start with the automation. Download “Linkedhelper” (better) or “GPZWeb” (still good) to automate the following actions: - Profile Views. People will visit-back and see your “optimized profile” (see point 3.) And many times they’ll contact you. - Connect with 1,000 People, including a 1 line message (less-salesy messages get a higher-acceptance rate.) - Send a Direct message with an intro summary & calendly/ web/email link to everyone who accepts (better if you wait one day after they accepted your connection request.) ** MAJOR KEY ALERT** A high-quality copy of the message is KEY to succeeding. Try to stand out with humor or creative ways (thanks, Jon Buchan). I get five messages per day from people pitching me SEO services which go straight to the trash bin, while my messages, not to brag, get a very high response rate Reply to your messages, and watch the leads roll in! I repeat! Linkedin (and his automation) will soon get less effective as more and more people are starting to do it. So, do it now (the same applies to Facebook groups, see the third paragraph) and you’ll be ahead of 99,9%. Another thing, stick to the limits, check the Linkedhelper knowledge base for that. -- If you want support in implementing this strategy, just call me here on Clarity :-)AS
