Professor Croson is one of the most brilliant professionals I’ve met. As an entrepreneur, I have learned and gained insights from him that are invaluable. Whenever I have engaged in a conversation with Professor Croson, I leave with the wheels churning in my brain 100 miles/hour, because of his intellect and advice that challenges me to think and motivates me to get out and make something happen. Professor Croson will continue to be someone I seek advice and guidance in any existing and future ventures that I’m a part of.
Source: LinkedIn Keith Britton, P.E. Jan 11, 2014Dr. Croson is a professor of the highest caliber. As I have attended many classes in my time (in many courses of study), I have seen few professors with the extent of preperation for class and yet can maintain the ability to move with the direction of classes conversation. David has provided me with not only the opportunity to learn about interesting business topics but to apply them to real businesses in real time through his Entrepreneurial Strategy course in which we were able to work with local companies on their current business concerns. He is also very approachable about any concerns inside and outside of the classroom with the utmost respect. I have and will continue for many years to confide in David's knowledge and processes for a multitude of business concerns. It is a privilege for me to have worked with David.
Source: LinkedIn Brian Jinks Jan 11, 2014Dr. Croson is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and thought provoking professors I was fortunate enough to meet while pursuing my MBA. His Entrepreneurial Strategy class thoroughly examined the strategies, market conditions and resources essential to all companies ranging in size from small startups to global conglomerates in order to expand and grow a sustainable business. The final business presentation is an enjoyable but challenging project which requires you to develop and propose a business plan based on the strategies covered in the course to Dr. Croson and a panel of experts he assembles. The project forces you to thoroughly understand the current business environment influencing the business as well as the market conditions that will change as a result of moving forward with a proposed plan. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the material and I highly recommended him to anyone considering one of his classes.
Source: LinkedIn Drew Wadley Jan 11, 2014David is a professor that I had for a strategy class while studying for my MBA at SMU's Cox School of Business. He is very good at leading the class to break down a case into logical components and then to elicit insightful feedback from the students. He is very approachable and entrepreneurial, hence he's a great person to bounce ideas off of outside of class. I have used what I have learned from him in my professional career.
Source: LinkedIn David Zhu Jan 11, 2014I had an excellent experience being Dr. Croson's student. He created an interesting model for us to work in and I loved the challenge of his classroom.
Dr. Croson's time and encouragement, still give me inspiration to start a business. Great guy and teacher. Absolute recommend.
Source: LinkedIn Brandon Avance Jan 11, 2014Both classes I took with Professor Croson were two of the best and most applicable I took while at Cox Business School. Not only did I get a great grasp of the course content, but both courses helped me in additional classes and my Post-MBA job interviews.
Professor Croson is creative, funny and extremely energetic. Students look forward to coming to class and participating.
I have recommended his courses to many of my classmates and hope that I have the opportunity to audit another one in the future.
Dr. Croson has an ability to explain complex strategic principles and demonstrate their applicability through real-life examples. His intellect and analytical skills are amazing; however, effectively relating this knowledge to his students is what sets him apart. He has been a valuable resource for young entrepreneurs in the Dallas area. David loves what he does and enjoys sharing that passion with his students.
Source: LinkedIn Tarynn Ecton Jan 11, 2014Dr. Croson’s intelligence goes without question, but it his ability to transfer that information to others that truly sets him apart. Many times, the smartest professors are the worst teachers because they cannot relate the theoretical information to students, or they cannot help students apply the theories into practical applications. Dr. Croson was able to do both. It was a privilege taking his class.
Source: LinkedIn John Applegate Jan 11, 2014David Croson is one of the smartest people I know. He was an excellent professor and has a superior grasp of technology strategy.
Source: LinkedIn Scott Lenet Jan 11, 2014David was actually a visiting professor at MIT Sloan when I was there as a student. David was teaching a course on information strategy and it was one of the most rewarding classes I have ever takenm in any discipline. David not only shined in the classroom, as a dynamic lecturer and brilliant strategist, but he also helped advise me on startup ideas. I recommend him to anyone looking for a brilliant strategic mind to learn from!
