As both an entrepreneur and an educator, I have helped hundreds of people take the next step after they say "I have a great business idea, now what do I do?". Whether it's figuring out if the business idea is strong enough to pursue, and what are the next ten steps you need to do.
A awesome experience talking to brad.
Brad was a tremendous influence on me both as a student and entrepreneur. He has a great ability to teach entrepreneurial principles and give examples that took course material and brought it to life. As an entrepreneur himself, Brad really understands building companies - Because he has lived it! As a coach and mentor, Brad was instrumental in the success for our contestants helping to develop their ideas. He helped us prepare our presentations and build our confidence to present in front of VC’s and other professionals at business idea competitions. It was fantastic to learn from someone as experienced as Brad.
Brad has the business acumen not only to see when an idea has potential - his enthusiasm for it will make you a believer as well. When we met, he knew that SightSpeed would be a game changer, and during the short time it took for that to happen, you never doubted his determination. His passion for new technology included staying abreast of various forms of social media to ensure that there was no corner of the world untouched by his message. Because of this, he made his company stand out as the leader in videocommunications. Brad's demeanor as CEO was always down-to-earth and approachable. No matter what the situation, he treated everyone with respect, and gave ear to all. He brings a friendly dignity to the workplace, and his ability to lead is marked by such finesse, that others are naturally drawn to him to do so. Working with Brad was always a pleasure, and he will certainly bring success wherever he goes.
Brad was the business guy who helped Professor Berger and I launch the company from our university research into the global communications company that was successfully acquired by Logitech. He is an amazing person to work for and was a key to SightSpeed's success.
Brad and I founded Mezmeriz after I had developed the technology. Brad was instrumental in raising Venture Capital for Mezmeriz and developing strategic partnerships. His management skills enabled the company to keep its monthly burn rate extremely low but still meet all the required milestones.
Brad was an outstanding manufacturing engineer who had a real knack for getting things done. Creative, resourceful, outside the box thinking was his forte and a refreshing approach on the shop floor. While strong technically, he was equally adept at solving problems by including his team, especially the machine operators and factory technicians.
Brad had a mantra at COE: "Be safe, have fun, & learn to kayak. When we taught classes together, the student's safety was always top priority, and his experience and expertise on the water made is such that little problems never became big problems. At the same time he was great to be around on and off the river, telling stories and bringing the group together.
Brad is a trusted advisor who brings a true entrepreneurial mindset to the table.
