Pam brings a clear-minded approach to difficult problems. She keeps her team focused, cutting to the heart of the problems and goals and enabling them creatively solve them. Recently Pam took over management of a project that had spun out of control. In the first all-hands meeting she headed, she lead the effort to identify the real heart of the problems and find creative, yet realistic solutions. Quickly the project was back on track and was concluded successfully.
I highly recommend Pam to lead teams through the thick and thin of any project.
Source: LinkedIn Richard DesLonde May 6, 2015I had the pleasure of working with Pam over the past two years.
In my role in corporate marketing and Pam's role in product marketing - we weren't technically part of same team/organization but I truly felt like Pam was a partner I could trust. I knew that I could go to Pam no matter what the situation was and that I could be honest and direct with her; Pam always made herself available to listen, discuss and work together on solutions. In tense/challenging times, Pam maintained perspective, and most of the time was even able to bring some humor into the situation so that before long we'd both be laughing.
So yes, I certainly appreciated Pam's partnership, honesty and her personality, but I also very much admire her intelligence and focus. Pam knows how to ask the right questions and has the ability to decipher lots of noise and data into meaningful, actionable insights.
Over the past 5 years I have worked for Pam I have witnessed her exceptional business skills in building and managing the Client Services organization at Scene7, Inc. and Adobe, Systems Inc. With Pam’s visionary leadership the Client Services department grew sales and revenue during numerous organizational changes, Scene7 company acquisition and economic downturns. Her ability to be creative, forward thinking, and flexible allowed us to adapt quickly to known and unknown business changes. One of Pam’s true gifts is her in-depth analytical prowess. She quickly ascertains a situation with thoroughness and accuracy, analyzing possible solutions through collaboration and input from others.
Pam’s knowledge, experience and understanding of a wide variety of disciplines: contracts, legal, sales, marketing, training, professional services, technical support, makes her an invaluable asset to any organization. She has an innate ability to build and maintain solid relationships by effusing confidence and trust with everyone she interacts with: clients, direct reports, team members, peers, executive management. She is able to blend a firm stance with an open mind when dealing with challenging situations.
Her management style of empowerment allowed me to take ownership the Project Management and Quality Assurance service teams. Giving me the freedom to manage these teams as I saw fit; motivating me to work in a way that aligned with my strengths, skills and experience, resulting in near perfect 5.0 customer satisfaction ratings for several years. This along with our other team accomplishments are a testament to Pam’s supportive, guiding management style. I grew in ways while working for Pam, applying learning’s that have made me a stronger, more valuable contributor and professional.
Pam in-depth experience, dedication, professionalism and commitment to bring all to her job, makes her a Star Player in my mind. It is a pleasure to recommend her.
Source: LinkedIn Catharine Martin May 6, 2015I worked with Pam during the acquisition when Adobe acquired Scene7. I was impressed with her knowledge of the company and the business. Every interaction that I had with Pam continued to confirm this high opinion. Her vision and passion for the job allowed her to articulate the objectives clearly and this resulted in success. Pam is a leader, she quickly earns the respect of others and is able to set the course and get consensus. Pam is creative and imaginative, and is able to communicate that excitement to others. It is great to work with her and I would love to work for her.
Source: LinkedIn Jacquelyn Mahan May 6, 2015Pamela is one of the most talented, experienced and universally respected leaders I have ever had the pleasure with which to work. When Compton's NewMedia was acquired by The Learning Company, she was responsible for selecting and convincing 22 key staff members to relocate from San Diego to Fremont to continue working with her to take the company's core products to the next level. She integrated those staff into the new company and grew the team into the largest brand contributor to The Learning Company's revenue line. Her ability to budget and plan across numerous product releases created a balanced and profitable portfolio delivering $40 million in revenue. I highly recommend Pamela as an extremely talented, experienced and versatile leader who focuses and magnifies the results of whatever team she leads.
Source: LinkedIn Ken Hejmanowski May 6, 2015Pam is not only a great manager of people but a strong strategic driver of business objectives; qualities that are not often found in combination in a single person.
Pam has a talent for honing in on the strengths of the individuals on her team. She understands that promoting and propagating this talent to other areas of the organization ensures that the right people are working at their highest potential in key ares of the business.
She also keeps a keen eye out for opportunities to drive business improvements, designing process efficiencies and closing gaps that directly and positively impact the bottom line.
Pam expects her team to be high functioning but partners with them to ensure the organization is meeting the larger business objectives. In this way she not only promotes team solidarity but ensures the business goals are topmost priority.

She is a seasoned product and marketing executive with a unique & versatile background ranging from marketing and GTM leadership to engineering and software delivery management.
In the time Pam reported to me she lead a multi-disciplinary marketing team who successfully launched and marketed multiple products in Adobe’s Digital Imaging family – including Photoshop, Lightroom, Photoshop Elements and several web, mobile and tablet solutions. Pam is the perfect partner to engineering and product teams when it comes to positioning, launching and marketing products – be it established products/solutions or 1.0 products that requires alternative or creative GTM models (including social, crowd-sourcing, etc.)
She excels in building high performance teams across multiple geographical locations. While Pam is great at empowering her teams and enjoy the trust of others she is also not afraid of pulling up her sleeves and digging in when needed.
One of Pam’s most recent (2011) accomplishments was leading the team who launched the first Photoshop Popup Store in San Francisco in August of 2011. A unique concept that drew wide attention & success from customers, partners, press and internal teams. It was an overwhelming success that only took place due to Pam’s never-ending focus on customers and what is ‘right for the business’ and her ability to navigate big complex, matrixed organization where agendas often collide. She is a master negotiator and diplomat – who can navigate crowded political waters without losing focus on the end-goal (or giving up).
Pam’s diverse background in outbound product marketing, product delivery and partner management makes her a perfect fit for any marketing or product leadership role. I have been lucky to have Pam on my team for the past few years – she always brings a balanced perspective to the business and the organization, and is a great partner and trusted collaborator. I would be delighted to get an opportunity to work with her again in a future endeavor.
Pam was a wonderful mentor, manager and leader. She inspired trust, communicated purpose and fostered an atmosphere in her organization which empowered her team’s intelligence/creativity and she always welcomed innovation. She consistently sought out what motivated others to create, contribute and accomplish.
Pam has an extraordinary understanding of the Adobe business. She understands the interdependencies between engineering, sales, professional services, legal, marketing and technical support, (from pre-release to the end-of-life activities).
I could always count on Pam to help out on a strategic customer call where our very knowledgeable customers presented detailed technical questions or concerns about ROI. Pam is highly competent, technically astute and always brought a level of professionalism to each call. The result? Each Adobe customer consistently left the call feeling valued, informed and served.
I highly recommend Pam and would truly welcome the opportunity to work with her again.
Source: LinkedIn Cindy Relick May 6, 2015I have worked with Pam for over 4 years. In that time, I have:
- been involved in countless contract negotiations
- worked with team members she's hired with skills as varied as creative artists to contract administrators
- enlisted her assistance in navigating large company processes
Pam has a very professional demeanor when dealing with clients, contract lawyers and internal company stakeholders. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to be firm when necessary, yet endearing and empathetic when warranted. She was a single point of failure in this regard when we were part of Scene7 as a privately held company. She never failed. Now, as part of Adobe Systems, she has demonstrated that those skill translate really well from a small, venture-backed company, to a widely recognized, publicly traded company.
Pam has built an organization within Adobe with professionals that are as detail and goal oriented as she is. All the while, she has been available to me to navigate large company processes as varied as revenue recognition and solution delivery. Without Pam's ability to navigate these varied processes, I can count several high six figure transactions that simply may not have happened.
In summary, Pam is a consummate professional, viewed very highly both inside the organization she works and outside the organization in dealings with customers and partners. If I had to recommend one person who can do a variety of tasks extremely well, Pam would be first on my list.
Pam manages to juggle multiple issues, put out fires, provide direction and support, and maintain a wicked sense of humor with apparent ease. I have rarely worked with anyone more competent and delightful.
Source: LinkedIn Marcy Telles May 6, 2015Make your (good) intentions clear. How can you make it easy for your clients to take the time and tie their reputation to yours?
1) Be amazing. I have a few contractors and companies that I recommend to others all the time. Why? I am 100% confident in their services. The service/product they have provided was so exceptional that they never have to ask me for a recommendation - I am doing it all the time. In fact, I think that being able to point my friends and business associates to such stellar services makes me look good. Above all - be that vendor. If you are that vendor, all you have to do is ask, and your clients will say "yes" every time. If your service has been amazing, you can ask now, if you have a little work to do, progress to step #2.
2) Invest the time to show your value. Look who your clients know, target a certain type of potential client. Outline the service/product/value for that customer type. Know how it is similar/different from what you have done for your existing client. With that information at hand call you client and ask for the introduction. By preparing for the reference you show you will be worthy of the introduction.
3) Make the introduction easy for your client. If they agree, send them an email from which they can easily extract (copy/paste) the information they will include when they introduce you to their contracts.
