I am a writer, podcaster, speaker, and "productivityist". In addition to writing for Productivityist.com, I continue to contribute guest articles to several blogs in the productivity sphere, and was most recently the Managing Editor at Lifehack. Prior to that, I served as an editor at technology news site, The Next Web, and enjoyed a year-long stint as editor of the work-life balance blog, WorkAwesome. I am also the author of "The Front Nine: How to Start the Year You Want Anytime You Want" by Diversion Books. Along with my written work, I've given talks on productivity and technology, as well as several featured keynotes and workshops related to time, project and goal management. As a podcaster, I have created, produced and hosted several over the years. I currently co-host…

Mike Vardy is a consummate professional, able to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional content on a regular basis.

He is a prolific and talented writer, able to provide valuable insight into complicated concepts, usually with a touch of humor, but always with an underlying - and valuable - message.

His experience with managing various personalities and juggling elastic deadlines has provided him with the ability to deliver quality content quickly, and his social media prowess ensures that his message is shared and read by the target audience.

Mike is more than able to write the right message for you and your company, and your audience will appreciate the insight he shares.

Mike's wisdom on productivity comes less from the mechanics of to-do lists and collaboration software – although he knows those cold – and more from his deep understanding of the preciousness of time, and the importance of using it as effectively as we can.

If that sounds ponderous and sober, be advised that Mike's anything but. A warm, witty, articulate and smart speaker (and blogger and podcaster), he leaves his audiences thoroughly entertained and well-equipped with practical, powerful ideas – and some very clear next steps for having a greater impact on the world.

Mike is a fantastic writer and editor. I first hired him as a site editor for WorkAwesome in 2009, where he ensured the site grew quickly every month and maintained a superb level of content quality. I have since hired Mike for everything from content marketing jobs to features at The Next Web and I am never disappointed with the results.

I've had the pleasure of working with Mike both at Envato and at Stepcase Lifehack. Mike is a great editor, but where he excels is his knowledge of productivity topics. He's even got a sense of humor about the topics he deals with — a rarity online in general and in the productivity niche in particular.

Mike spoke at our inaugural Social Media Camp conference in 2010 on the topic of Social Media Productivity.

Mike's talk was very well received by the audience and received lots of positive feedback. Mike is not only a subject matter expert but he delivers the content in an energetic, humour laden way that keeps the audience interested and attentive.

Mike is an amazingly engaging speaker and creative educator around his topic of expertise: productivity. He is a thought leader and an invaluable resource of information. I've used, and continue to use, his recommendations around time management, writing and productivity to great success.

Mike is great to work with, he is an excellent editor and writer and ran the content side of the Lifehack blog efficiently to the extent where I could be mostly hands off with Mike. Everything ran smoothly under Mike's watch. I would recommend him for any future opportunity he wishes to take up.

Mike truly knows the ins and outs of the productivity business and breathes life & fun into any podcast he's a part of, whether as a host, co-host or as a guest expert. As a writer, Mike consistently marries two of the most highly under-appreciated skills out there — brevity & clarity. Get him working for you before your competitors do.

Mike and I were both speakers at WordCamp Victoria in 2010, and I was so thankful for Mike's amazing sense of humor and effectiveness at getting his message across. He warmed the audience up for me, and had them laughing and learning at the same time.

I have since seen Mike speak at various other conferences, and am an avid subscriber to his Mikes on Mics Podcast and productivity blog.

I look to Mike as a thought leader in writing, podcasting, and advice on creating a successful online business.

Mike is an excellent writer, comedian and conversationalist, and I highly recommend him as an employee, contractor, or key-note speaker.

Mike Vardy is certainly one of the best speakers I've worked with, and I've worked with hundreds for various educational events I have had the privilege of organizing, or helping to organize.

Because Mike and I share the same hometown, I have been able to watch as Mike's career evolved. And I must say that it's certainly no surprise to me that he is now such an in-demand speaker for educational conferences across North America.

This is the kind of experience people have when listening to Mike Vardy... you feel as though you are being entertained, you laugh, you smile, you nod in agreement. Essentially, you are on the edge of your seat as Mike winds his way through his presentation in this entertaining fashion. Then, suddenly, you have an "a ha" moment. By the end, you have been challenged to think outside your comfortable box, you have learned something new, and you are inspired. It's an incredible style of speaking, and very uniquely Mike Vardy.

Mike Vardy answered:

One of the biggest things I do is "time chunk". Time chunking – and fine tuning the practice – allows me to work with optimum productivity. It’s worth trying in some form or another because it removes a decision from the process of doing: what to do and when to do it.

Another set of practices I put into play are outlined in my manifesto: http://productivityist.com/blog/the-way-of-the-productivityist-a-manifesto

I talk about a lot of other strategies over at my website, and in my e-book "The Productivityist Workbook".
