June 2012- Sept.2012: LA METRO BID for Waste/Recycle Service.

Project Leader: L.A. County Metro Transportation Authority, (LA METRO), OPEN RFP for Non-Hazardous Waste/Recycle Services (2013 thru 2024).

Excluding Municipal Bids, this project was planned to guarantee profitability & provide quality service and green initiatives to meet upcoming CA State environmental guideline changes and mandates.

I worked at Republic Services, Inc. (RSG), they are 2nd Largest Waste/Recycle service provider in the U.S. and are now the Largest Waste/Recycle Service provider in Los Angeles. From July 2010 through Sept 2013, I was the most successful New Business Representative, since 2008.

My most cherished accomplishment while at Republic Service, Inc.,

I lead a project team that WON the Los Angeles County Metro Trans. Authority Waste/Recycle bid, (7 yr contract w/2 two yr ext.opt.).

Not only did our team win but it was determined to be a profitable WIN; not a loss leader. More importantly, our team's hard work, research and detailed planning will allow L.A.C.M.T.A (L.A. Metro) to meet and possibly exceed,the upcoming California State Environmental guideline changes and required mandates.

Furthermore, due to our attention to detail, L.A. Metro can be approved for further increases of Federal Funding due to the adding of small business to the chain of services. We felt it was important to open a seat at the table. Our plan to include small business was NOT a requirement by L.A.C.M.T.A for this open BID. We felt adding a small business a piece of the pie, was a necessity.
Q-Why?
A-. We felt it was our civic responsibility to help (in any capacity), the improvement of the Los Angeles economic environment as a whole and/or sum.
