I help businesses use e-mail to make more money and I've been a thriving entrepreneur/hustler since 2000. You can find my personal blog at http://karol.gajda.com.
I've been using Elance, Guru, oDesk and related websites since 2001. Recently I've been hiring a lot of mobile app developers and can help you navigate these murky waters.
I've been using e-mail autoresponders to successfully boost profitability of projects since 2003.
I've been generating and, most importantly, testing my ideas profitably for a dozen years. I can help distill your idea(s) to a testable core. I can also help you generate new ideas for products/revenue streams.
What does "when the time is right" mean? There will never be a "right" time. Right now is a great time though.
Why don't you immediately use an e-mail list service such as one of the free plans from mailchimp or madmimi to store the emails? That way you'll be able to keep in touch with people easier before the launch of your product. Both of the mentioned services allow you to store 2,000+ emails and if you go over that amount the monthly fees are fair.
No. In the decade plus I've been doing e-mail marketing this has never been an issue.
Also, this on the sales page is a huge turn off: "Pick the most expensive plan you can."
