From the moment that I met Karen, I was impressed. She galvanized a mighty team of marketing and creative resources into action on a number of high value, revenue driving projects. She is great at leading valuable brainstorming sessions. Her prowess doesn't end at great ideas though, Karen is great at taking raw ideas and turning them into a multi-phase Marketing plan for the organization.
Karen's most noticeable projects included: a multi-phase revamp of our website to bring it up-to-date and also tackle some key usability issues, creation of a lead automation program for all lead sources which increased the quality of leads to our inside sales team, several national events to launch new projects and reach new markets, and complete overhaul of PPC and SEO for our two primary web properties. Karen also managed day to day projects related to email, web, ad campaigns, thought leadership, events, and much more.
One of the most noticeable differences between Karen and other Marketing Directors is that she has a wide breadth of Marketing knowledge. She is able to provide high-level overviews and actionable plans but also can easily dive down into the details of a specific project or task. As a direct report, this was key to allow me to quickly discuss the details of a project and receive relevant and useful direction.
In addition to her knowledge, skills and experience, Karen brings a warmth and compassion to her teams. As a direct report to Karen, I always knew that she was a person that I could take any concern or idea. Her leadership fostered an open and compassionate team that was a pleasure to work on.
I would work for Karen anytime and would consider her my top choice in any employment decision.
