How can we generate good B2B sales leads?

As your targets are SME companies with 3 or more developers you can use LinkedIn premium search for finding the list of top executives of the companies and send them in-mails for partnership!
Another great source for you could be outsourcing websites where US development companies are represented and do testing for their clients periodically for various projects!

Please call for more detailed information of the best B2B sources for you! I have got also some availability to the actual lead generation job for you with a reasonable hourly rate. Yes SEO is dying because we are going more social, and Google is going where trends are moving towards. There are 3 main factors which are the main killers of SEO nowadays
1. Mobile
2. Social
3. Technology

But my overall thought is that the ‘search intent’ of human beings can never be lost, so SEO is just evolving. We call it now internet marketing/online marketing for business including also SEO!

Is it OK to end services or support when a customer did not pay the cost of services/support or did not renewal contract in software industry?

The best strategy is to agree on a (free) post production support period prior starting the contract with client. Our company, for example, is providing a free one week post production support after deploying the software product in the market! For future services/support including bug fixing and enhancements you can continue with hourly based cost model!

How can I effectively network and find with future clients?

First of all try to make a target profile of your potential customers. The profile should consist of both demographic and psychographic attributes. Demographics describe the common characteristics of the target audience of a particular market segment, such as age and income of decision makers. Psychographics are the attitudinal traits people exhibit in their approach to life.

Once you know who may be your potential client in New York try to do a research and find a list of 80-100 companies. Your research should contain contact information of all decision makers including their LinkedIn profiles. Before connecting with them make sure you change your LinkedIn custom invitation text and write your reasons for connecting. According to my experience once this step is done correctly the chance to connect and network even with some of the internationally famous company managers becomes very easy! In addition to this LinkedIn strategy you may consider also using their inMail services or joining to the appropriate networking groups.

Meetup.com is also good place to attend to some events, alternatively you can check eventtribe.com (these guys are quickly dominating the market for free events), Plancast and some of the local New York based event websites.

My best advice for connecting with IT clients anyway remains LinkedIn and Twitter. During my role as a an inside sales manager at international IT company LinkedIn took 12% of our lead generation sources. Currently as a CEO of Armenia based digital agency it takes 35% in our lead generation sources and we managed to work with some of the big insurance, software and investment companies from North American and Europe.

Any suggestions on how to reach and market to mobile game developers?

I have done lots of inbound and outbound campaigns during last 3 years to partner with international mobile development companies and mobile app/game publishers. In addition I have worked myself as an inside sales manager at a medium size mobile and web company for over a year.

While all of the above mentioned strategies are valid and can work to market your chat SDK I have found that cold email and LinkedIn have the highest ROI if you are targeting tech decision makers. To give you a more detailed example my current cold email campaign has 43% response ratio out of 266 international mobile ad networks reached including the top ones.

The positive response ratio is over 29% to schedule calls and present them a demo of our mobile video player SDK.

My project is still ongoing since July and can message me for more details of our case study or call to give the best pitch and follow-up tips.

What is a good hourly rate to pay an offshore RoR agile development firm for a 4 month project using two developers with 3-5 years of experience?

Assuming that the company is reputable and they have:
A. already accomplished multiple similar nature projects,
B. enough project management and risk management experiences,
C. proper Agile or Scrum development strategies,
D. clear reporting mechanisms for their clients (in this case for you)
E. at least some sort of PPS (post production support) to fix the first and important bugs before your lunch your product

I think anything from $25-30/hour for 2 person team can be a good hourly rate for you.

Also based on my experiences finding a decent ROR developer is much harder than for iOS/Android developers or those working with other web technologies. This applies both for North American as well as for offshore resources.

Myself I have been an inside sales manager for Armenia based software development company for over a year, worked also in India in their IT hub Bangalore for 4-5 months Currently I am doing marketing consulting for some of the biggest software development companies from North America.

I would be happy to have a call if you want to know the best sources to find your developers as well as most important aspects to look at before signing your contract with them.

What would be a good approach for marketing a software development businesses?

For software development business LinkedIn ads, content marketing and Google Adwords don't work well. The best and most cost effective method is email outreach.

Try to find the contacts of key decision makers in Bay Area from your target companies. You want to present yourselves as custom mobile and web development specialists and highlight your core competencies to get an initial call to discuss their mobile strategy or software development needs.

Attaching your case studies how you helped other similar businesses and your portfolio can be extremely helpful as well. Try to always focus on the benefits in you pitch that they can get by working with you and point their missed opportunities of not having certain types of software or apps for their business. Clients love that software development companies have not only strong execution but also ideation skills.

What is the best way to market a social app to college-aged students during summer vacation? Is paid advertising the only way?

Paid advertising is the only day if you do nothing now and start your actual campaign on summer.

If you start from tomorrow the best way to market your app are

1. Define the challenges and goals of your buyer personas
2. Create the buyer journey how they find the app, what are the next steps after they download, how you delight them and make them your app promoters
3. Create your inbound strategy and what kind of content would you need to help them to make their decision faster and support them in their stages of buyer journey (FAQ pages, best practices, tips, gifs, short explainer vidoes and so on)
4. Prepare your journalist outreach campaigns and your pitches. I recommend doing some A/B testing on your subject lines and email content before reaching to bigger ones

My startup just failed. What could I start to "immediately" generate $1,000/mo?

Failure is not a step backwards, it is a step forward. :)

I started making money since when I was 16 by consulting businesses with their online marketing! Most of my clientele so far have been from North America and I am based in Armenia!

Can you refer me to an SEO GENIUS who can do both on-site and off-site SEO and G. Adwords? Must have proven track record of stellar results.

Hiring 1 SEO contractor it won't solve your problem. SEO and online lead generation is a complex game.

The best way to have your SEO work is to have integrated marketing campaigns when keyword research, content marketing, website, influencer marketing, outbound marketing and sales prospecting work hand in hand

In order to run strong integrated marketing campaigns you should invest in one of the following options

1. Build and manage a team of smart marketing and sales professionals

2. Hire a niche agency
