Alex runs a renewable energy company, called GridVest Partners, focused on battery storage systems for commercial buildings. He's also a Venture Partner at Elevation Ventures which invests in early-stage climate tech, an advisor for several early stage climate tech companies, including flywheel energy storage company, Qnetic and coaches startups through the Small Business Administration.
Alex previously started an ran Seeder Clean Energy, a VC-backed renewable energy procurement platform focused on Greater China, where he lived for nine years. He also worked with Google X's Makani to commercialize their renewable energy kite, with WeWork leading their global B2B marketing strategy and at State Street Bank on their Structured Products team.
Alex excels at market entry and go-to-market strategy and is especially strong in identifying new trends, leading cross-cultural teams, and building strong partnerships. He often speaks publicly and teaches on corporate innovation, sustainability, climate change, renewable energy, and entrepreneurship.
Alex was recognized by President Obama as a
global impact entrepreneur and in 2016 by the Chengdu government as “Founder of the Year” in China. He is a proud alumnus of several entrepreneurship programs, including China Accelerator, Startup Chile, Fledge Incubator, EO Accelerator, Global Shapers, Singularity University, and Stanford Ignite.
