Apart from having exposed me to some spectacularly talented people, those experiences informed a philosophy and an empirical model for pursuing growth that I apply in my work and enjoy sharing at talks. My approach is to get my head around the "system" at the level that is most inclusive of the factors that influence that system. In this case, "system" being the parts of a software application and the dynamics through which it engages with its users and the environment in which they operate. Jack is one of the most passionate people I ever had a chance to work with. He digs deep into data, processes information and identifies important levers that drive growth. He does this with unmatched determination, elegance and style. Connecting puzzle pieces, highlighting relations and finding opportunities of improvement is what truly motivates him. He is a kind of person who not only finds the best opportunities for growth, he is also a great communicator effectively sharing his passion and helping people understand how certain steps connect to build something much bigger. Jack is a true explorer, someone who gets most excited in situations when others might get confused. He is passionate, but also stands on the ground with solid feet: his steps are conscious and always driven by verified information. Using data, metrics, and logs to understand relations, envision, and effectively introduce new opportunities is what he really shines at.
Working with the registration funnel Jack found effective ways of improving conversion: he built the company's social media strategy from the ground to a conscious and powerful tool that generates growth. He created strategy and built out much of our proactive communication and email campaigns as well. He is a great guy to work with, has an awesome knowledge on data driven grows, finds creative opportunities, tests, and delivers with end to end responsibility. It was a pleasure to work with him at Prezi.
Jack is intelligent, passionate, and infinitely curious. He has an admirable breadth of skills (strategy, analysis, people management, product management, SEO, SEM, email mkt, A/B testing, …) and a refreshing lack of entitlement for such a seasoned Silicon Valley professional. All of this plus his inexhaustible energy make him the perfect partner to propel a growing start-up.
