Zainab Zaki, Cofounder and COO of TappedIn has lived her entire life doing one thing – being fearless. She started her career as an SAP consultant with Satyam Computer Services without knowing how to (read or) write a single line of code. She then moved to Capgemini Consulting, quickly learning to serve international clients, leading distributed teams, managing crises and developing project roadmaps.
In 2008, Zainab began at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin and was introduced to the exciting yet challenging world of entrepreneurship. During her 2 yrs in business school she got hands on experience of startup life through marketing and strategy work for several startups.
She started TappedIn in February 2011 to solve a problem she had experienced acutely in school and corporate life. There is just no easy way to find the right people one needs to meet! Since then TappedIn has grown to become a global TEDx partner with thousands of users in the DC area alone and entry into new categories such as airlines and alumni associations.
Zainab has a BS in Electronics & Telecommunications from DAVV, India and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business, UT Austin.
