My area of specialty is in the analysis and understanding of art and tech, particularly in the areas of music and music production. I've composed, performed, managed, produced, presented and written about these topics from various vantage points, some of which you can read here: http://ryangtanaka.com
Because the successes and failures of music-based startups are seldomly documented, there's a tendency for these endeavors to make the same mistakes over and over again, which is one reason why it has had such a high failure rate in recent years.
The main reason why art-tech projects fail, however, is because there's currently a huge gap in communication and understanding between the two worlds that has yet to be bridged. Having been on both sides of the table, I might be able to offer some help and insight into the process of combining the left with the right sides of the thinking process.
