Joey Hendrickson is a creative entrepreneur and consultant who has built marketing strategies for US artists, music venues, startups, fashion companies, music festivals, restaurants, and non-profit organizations around the world. In technology, Joey worked in digital innovation in the medical and consumer product goods industries, including build new product capabilities with IoT, data capabilities with blockchain, product lifecycle management and intelligence systems, and surgical robotics for the largest medical device company in the world.
In entertainment, after founding Columbus Music Commission, Columbus Songwriters Association, two non-profits that partner with the City of Columbus and arts ecosystem in Ohio, to support entertainment and economic development through the arts, Joey collaborates with a global UNESCO community of leaders in music, arts, and creative industries. Through a combination of the above, Joey recently patented and launched a mobile IoT technology that's being tested for socially distanced entertainment solutions in Columbus, Ohio.
As a speaker, Joey has presented ideas and seminars through UNESCO, SXSW, TechStars, IGF, CMWs, World Music Expo, Warsaw Music Export Conference, The Ohio State University, Capital University, McVay Innovation Learning Center, and more. His work has been featured in Billboard, Viewpoints on Innovation, NPR, Examiner, Columbus CEO, Business First, Music Canada, Kingston Gleaner & other publications.
As a songwriter, Joey has performed over 1000 shows and shared the stage with 21 Pilots, Chris Jamison (The Voice), Maxwell Hughes (The Lumineers), and works today with composer Christopher Tyng (Futurama, Suits, The Simpsons) on music for a unique AR/VR activation that will be featured in music festivals globally.
