MenuHow do I make a physical product distribution plan/package?
I have a physical product that I have gotten ready for mass production and distribution. I have a lot of distributors interested in my product. However I have never attempted to build a distribution network. I am planning on having some distributors sell solely online. And others will want territories. Any resources or advice would be amazing.

Hi
The best method in which to learn how to manage your relationship with the distributors, would be to read as many (at least 2-3) distributor agreements - as this will give you a good understanding of what to avoid/focus on/address when dealing with them. You can find some free examples online.
I just recently finished drafting such an agreement for one of my clients and would be happy to give you some pointers if needed.
Good luck
Online is the best place to sell your physical product. People nowadays tend to visit more the online world rather than the physical stores. You could possible sell out your products fast, be it clothing apparels, appliances, foods, etc. More so you can monitor it easily.
I hope this helps you a lot. if you have more questions in mind, please don't hesitate to call.
Thank you.

If I dont live in the U.S but have a great idea for a simple re-use/rebranding of a common product that will fit the U.S market. What do I do?
It is, but you have to understand that you will need to: -Find a partner in the US, or and -Get a company that will do the distribution for you -License the product to another company to produce If I was you I would listen to this podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/mixergy-interviews/id348690336?mt=2&i=333880076 from the guy that brought the UGG shoes to the U.S. Also buy his book, really goodJC

How should I start selling on farfetch.com or yoox.com?
This depends on where you are located but in many major cities (U.S., Europe and Asia) there are showrooms buyers shop. This means, for a fee, your products are guaranteed to be viewed by buyers (though there is no way to guarantee they will select to buy them). These buyers range from local shops to regional chains to department store and boutique buyers. If you are picked up by one or more and show data to these online specialty stores, that is more appealing than a cold turkey approach. Simultaneously building an online following is key as well since both retailers have e-commerce-savvy demos.SC

If Facebook were starting today would it be a better strategy to sign-up one college at a time or sign-up collages across the country?
Think big. Start small. You should always think of the bigger picture (i.e. Facebook for everyone in the world), because you want to make sure that you enable yourself to grow towards that point. Using Steve Jobs' analogy, it's about anticipating where the dots will be. Or as Wayne Gretzky puts it: skate to where you expect the puck will be, not where it is at the moment. Having this bigger vision in mind, will help you move forward. That said, always start small. If you can make your product or service valuable for a small group of people (that are also representative of a bigger population), you can definitely figure out ways to reach those people. The initial challenge though is to make those first 10 / 100 / 1000 people really use your product or service (and preferably pay for it).AP

I'm selling books on Ebay Australia for $25, postage is $3. How do I sell globally on Ebay & Amazon when postage is $25 or more?
Have you considered providing the book in electronic format. If somebody wants the book and are willing to pay the shipping fee, they get the paper copy, otherwise, it's a download.JS
