MenuWhats the best way to redeem a coupon earned in an app without integrating to pos
Im launching a marketing app for local businesses including restaurant. Part of my system involves issuing some coupons to the customers based on some specific actions. When the users has earned a coupon, he can redeem it in store. Im trying to do it without integrating to POS, by telling the business to enter a unique code on the phone of the use to validate the coupon and prevent duplicated use. But many restaurants leave only their manager enter their code, so i was wondering if you have the right knowledge to help me take the best decisions for having a seamless redemption flow ?

I would need some clarity around this question, the last part of it doesn't make to much sense. However, the name of the game is seamless flow. Why not figure out the top 5 common pos systems and contact the POS manufacturer. Companies like square offer these type of integration. I'd love to help you sift through this more, so call me to help you get this resolved.
Hello I am Priyanka.
The bottom line is that the answer to your question depends on the type of mobile coupons you want to use. On one side of the spectrum you have static mobile coupons that you can send to subscribers via text message or voice message. People just have to show the text to a person at the store to verify participation in the coupon program. This works great at events or other places where the goal is just as much traffic as possible. No integration with the POS needed.
A second type of mobile coupon, dynamic, distributes a unique code to every single campaign participant. Again, no integration with POS needed, but the ability to track the campaign success improves as coupon codes tracked to individual users can be verified at the point of sale (without being integrated).
For further queries you can consult me.
Our firm has dealt with this exact issue building out applications for multiple startups/new ventures that have scaled to hundreds of restaurants (including a great company called TableSavvy). There are a few ways you can achieve this without requiring integration into the POS system. it starts first with identifying what platform/back-end system your app is built on (perhaps something custom or something open source like Magento.) Then you have to look at the payment processor you are utilizing and the current method the restaurants are using to apply discounts/codes. It also depends if the restaurants are booking these customers ahead of time or if they are coming in and redeeming real-time/at any time. Based on my experience you have to limit the amount of time any business manager at the establishment needs to put into the effort in order to keep adoption rates high, but there are some tools you can use to reduce their time to a minimal amount. Happy to connect and hear more about your specific needs and craft a process flow/technical recommendation to fulfill it.

Any tips on how to structure a first-time wholesale deal?
I would offer them a proposal to reveal their source to you in exchange for a small percentage or fixed amount of each unit ordered. You would also need to structure the offer in such a way as to guaranty that you would not compete with them or circumvent them, if they agree then you would need a legal contract drawn up between you and themVM

What are average profit margins in Ice Cream store business?
Hi! I am owner of an ice crean chain with 45 stores in Chile. We have stores in shopping centers, streets and also karts that you can put in events and parks. The average cost margin of ice cream (depends on the amount of materials you use in producing the ice cream) is around 40%. This is italian gelatto where you serve the ice cream without a specific measurement so your costs can vary due to the size of each portion you serve. About the brand you should focus on your unique value proposition and what kind of ice cream you are selling. We import the pastry from Italy and the fruits and milk from our country. Your ROI depends on your sales price and costs. If you focus on high market ice cream you can charge high and keep costs down.MF

What is the most important attribute for a successful high-end lifestyle clothing brand to have?
Your brand must conjure associations beyond the clothing itself. Fabric is only fabric. Attractive design matters, but market competition is enough to drive down prices. If you intend to ask a premium, then your product line must SUGGEST more than it literally is. Eventually, certain brands reach maturity and can point to an established reputation or high-profile adoption by the rich and famous. But you can start out by honing a brand "story" that captivates attention. Parts of that story are visual; others are verbal. Naming -- which is a large part of what I do -- is crucial when it comes to instantaneous unconscious communication. The right name tells your story for you on first contact with investors or consumers. Thereafter, it echoes in the mind, resonating with associations people bring to your product from their own experiences. Those associations add value. This is true whether you're a luxury brand or a maker of upscale outdoor gear like Patagonia, which takes its name from rugged South American highlands. In addition to your brand name, I would recommend paying close attention to all of your written copy. Make it unified and stylish ... in whatever way best fits your product line and intended audience.JP

Do you think this can be a successful business venture?
I have several years of experience in marketing and optimization in the eCommerce space for one of the largest online jewelry retailers in the U.S. I also have several year of experience working with online retailers that operate under a subscription models. In order to answer your question, you will need to consider the following: Will your subscription revenue generate enough income to maintain the operational strains of this business model and be profitable? If you do not know the answer to this, you need to work backwards to arrive at the monthly pricing for your subscription service. Some things to consider: 1. Cost associated with operational logistics like shipping and fulfillment (assuming customers have to receive and ship the jewelry back to you) 2. Carrying costs associated with holding on to inventory on consignment. (assuming you will not own the jewelry outright) This may come with other contingencies like having to carry insurance and the operational aspects that will help you handle recovery of lost / unreturned inventory, etc. 3. Costs associated with building a transactional platform that is built for the monthly activity you will have with a subscriptions service. If you take Macy's for example, most customers place online orders 4 times per year or so. In your case, the nature of your model requires a different platform as you will be taking recurring payments, arranging returns, maintaining credit card / payment information, etc. In short, its a different animal that your startup eCommerce type platform. How do I sell iPhone cases and make a profit out of them?
Selling any product including "iPhone cases" on websites with high competition like Ebay is surely not an easy mission. There are hundreds of sellers on Ebay and other websites who are already selling cases. If you need to get some sales, you need at least one of the following: 1. High reputation, reviews or feedbacks on the website that you are selling on. 2. The product that you are selling must be unique in some way or simply not found anywhere else. 3. If your products are featured at your own website, then that website of yours must be ranked properly online and marketed decently around social media networks. In your case, a possible approach would be to create your own website to sell your products on or work as an affiliate marketer for other big sellers in exchange for commissions. Depending on your budget, you need to draw the right plan around. If you have a good budget to invest in your business, then creating a website for yourself is a must. Otherwise, you need to rely on other websites and seek to provide unique or special products to get an edge around. Hope that helps!RZ
