MenuHow do I create a conference concept document?
The goal is to have a document that I can present to potential sponsors, partners, etc, so that I can weather or not they have interest in the initiative.

Try an infographic but if budget/skillset doesn't allow use a word doc and create a pdf. Whatever you do keep it short and sweet and a better suggestion is to use the body of an email for the actual pitch and the attachment/one pager or close too with supplemental info. No one likes reading and this is just an opener so they get a feel - you can answer detailed questions in a call/meeting
In my experience it's tricky. I've been burned a few times by the "we totally love it, we're behind you" thing, until you actually need money :)
I'd say a document like that needs to address the following.
Audience (Community the event will serve)
Competition (which other events are out there, maybe a count, maybe their primary location, or size, etc)
If you can figure it out, demographic if likely attendee (I don't know this until after my events or at least after tickets start selling, but you might be able to do a survey)
I think lastly, what's in it for the sponsor? Either your full sponsorship options list, or a description, likely size of attendee pool, email blasts, etc.
Off the top of my head that's what I'd put into something like that, if i was making one
Here is a good example which I feel might be extremely helpful for you: https://www.civicus.org/images/65th_UN_DPI_NGO_Concept_Note-FINAL.pdf

Can you recommend an event ticketing service that you prefer over Eventbrite?
Ticket Tailor is an online ticketing platform with no per-ticket fees. Instead it's a monthly fee from just $25 (or £15) / month (and I'm the founder). It's really easy to use, you can embed your box office in to your website, and it works with PayPal and/or Stripe for taking payments so you get paid directly. Check it out: http://www.tickettailor.com/rf=clfmJW

How can I find ideas to keep people inside my booth in an event?
What you want to do is create a relationship with that new potential customer. People can only oo and ah for so long, so what you want to do is create a compelling offer to bring them in. This is why candy and treats often work. Whatever it is, make it instantly satisfying and memorable (homemade cookies, perhaps?). Then strike up a conversation about your product or service. Just remember to always keep the potential customer in mind.TB

I have the following types of sponsorships for a conference I'm organizing: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and need a package bigger than Platinum.
Since you're already using metals for naming your packages: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum...it only makes sense to add a Titanium package. The names you are suggesting are good, but you'll need to change your naming convention to something like: Basic Partner, Standard Partner, Collaborative Partner, Exclusive Partner... Keep all naming conventions the same. I hope this helps.SB

What specific topics are entrepreneurs wanting to learn about the most?
Social Marketing - I know it goes without saying that social marketing will be talked about. But I think its important to stress what exactly they should be doing with it. So many people think social marketing means having a facebook page, a twitter page or pinterest and have no idea how to actually use these services to grow their brand and build a community around their product.KA

What time of year is best to host a technology conference for entrepreneurs?
Hello! i help organize and run several events here in Arizona and attend many more. In my opinion this is a loaded question and the best answer I can think of is that it depends in where you live and the agenda of the event. Here in Arizona there are a quite a few right at the end of summer and many more travel from out of town to the events and more as the weather begins to cool. in general you don't want to compete with other events relating to technology even if they seem to be "non-compete" because you force your potential audience to decide which can reduce your attendance..and you will also lose the opportunity of having that other host attend your event. I hope this helps a bit. Please submit more questions :)HV
