MenuCan you recommend an event ticketing service that you prefer over Eventbrite?
Eventbrite caused unnecessary headaches for us for yet another event we planned this week. So it's time for us to find a more usable alternative.

Ticket Tailor is an online ticketing platform with no per-ticket fees. Instead it's a monthly fee from just $25 (or £15) / month (and I'm the founder).
It's really easy to use, you can embed your box office in to your website, and it works with PayPal and/or Stripe for taking payments so you get paid directly.

Picatic has a cool program called Fairpay. Fairpay allows you to pay what you think their service is worth.
Picatic was recently named as one of the top 10 companies disrupting events! Give Jay and the team a visit at www.picatic.com
They are also a Canadian company based out of Vancouver!
You might want to try Brown Paper Ticket they are nice people and great service. Www.brownpapertickets.com
I've hosted many events and used 4-5 different solutions .. and one of my favourites is http://guestlistapp.com/
Simple + great Canadian company :)
Maybe giving us some more specifics would be a great start. Every SaaS solution has its own ups and downs. We even use multiple ticketing and registration services to overcome that fact.
My first question would be: What are your pain points with Eventbrite and what is the minimum feature set you need?
I've worked with Amiando for years with great experience. They are feature rich, global and the only one I'd say is comparable to Eventbrite. A new company I'm keeping my eye on is https://splashthat.com. They have a strong design focus and seem to be keeping it simple.
I have worked with a group in Charlotte, NC. The company name is EPIC and their number is (980) 233-3780. The web site is www.epicreg.com. They work nationwide and are outstanding! I have used them for years and will continue to work with them for my events.
I need a ticket sales tool. Something much simpler and more usable than eventbrite. Preferably one that integrates with stripe.com.
Splash and brown paper tickets are great alternatives to Eventbrite, but before recommending any of the aforemetioned services, it would be helpful to know what features you are looking for in an event ticketing service.
If you're looking for an alternative to Eventbrite, we recommend Yapsody. Yapsody offers a highly customizable platform with zero ticketing fees, making it ideal for event organizers. It provides features like branded event pages, seating management, discount options, and seamless integrations with marketing tools—all while ensuring a smooth, user-friendly experience for both organizers and attendees.

What is the difference in price for a 500 person conference in Orlando FL vs. the same conference in Columbus Ohio?
I think your best bet for an answer has three answers, 1. You need to take the time and call around, no one is going to do this for free for you. 2. Hire a function planner, and let them do the work 3. go to Zirtual.com, and hire a person to do all that research for you, and get your answer. In the end, your question is really a job request, and you should be browsing through the people on this site who may do that kind of work and hire them.CA

How can I find ideas to keep people inside my booth in an event?
What you want to do is create a relationship with that new potential customer. People can only oo and ah for so long, so what you want to do is create a compelling offer to bring them in. This is why candy and treats often work. Whatever it is, make it instantly satisfying and memorable (homemade cookies, perhaps?). Then strike up a conversation about your product or service. Just remember to always keep the potential customer in mind.TB

How would you monetize this meetup?
I think sponsorships are your best bet. The only problem is that with 80 ppl per month, you still have a pretty limited audience that might draw sponsorships. I would not recommend charging for regular events as that will likely depress attendance. Offering separate speaking/seminar opportunities may be a good idea. I think that in order to increase the value of any of these options you need to increase your regular attendance. The more bodies people can get in front of the more they will be willing to pay for the opportunity to do.MF

Best Ecommerce tradeshows/exhibits for a small digital agency to attend?
Interesting, but very loaded, question. It depends on the industry segments, location of your business and the reach you want to have, as well as your budget. I have organized trade shows all over the world and in over 65 industries. So look at industry, location, country/city, attendee profile, demographics, and some other factors. There are over 10,000 trade shows every year in the USA alone. You need to do some "shrinking" of the reach and take it from there. Let me know if you have specific questions and we can schedule a call. Good luck!DE

How do I create a conference concept document?
Try an infographic but if budget/skillset doesn't allow use a word doc and create a pdf. Whatever you do keep it short and sweet and a better suggestion is to use the body of an email for the actual pitch and the attachment/one pager or close too with supplemental info. No one likes reading and this is just an opener so they get a feel - you can answer detailed questions in a call/meetingKF
