MenuIs there a template or guide to ensure we cover all areas of the health business from appropriate permits and employee benefits?
This is for a Chiropractor who will own a building where she will rent different suites to partners plus will have around 5-10 employees. This is located in Rockville, MD.

No there is not such Guide, because it will be a 300 page manual.
Your best bet is to pay a consultant who specialize in that area of business or at the very least find someone doing what you're doing and pay them to build you one.
You're going to want to set up a consultation with an attorney and identify a local HR/Payroll specialist. Most of them will offer free advice and can quickly provide the information you require. Best of luck!
There are two questions here:
1. How do I ensure appropriate permits for my building?
2. Where do I find lease agreements for renting my building?
You're best place to ensuring proper permitting is the City of Rockville, MD website: http://www.rockvillemd.gov/index.aspx?NID=1165
As for making sure your leasing agreement to your tenants is strong I would contact local attorneys who specialize is commercial properties. This is a much better than copy and pasting a template online. I admit they are difficult to interpret.
On a side note, be sure you are updating your leasing agreements every year to ensure new laws are taken into consideration.
Hope that helps!

What is the best way to capture and track referrals directed from a landing page?
There are a few ways to track things automatically, but they get complicated: - referral program software - Give your referrers special URL's with parameters that identify them as the referrer (like http://url.com/?referrer=JohnDoe), then push that value into a hidden form field - Create a separate landing page for each referrer I'd keep things much simpler to start. Just tell your social club that there's a referral program in place, then add a form field on your signup process asking who referred the new customer. If John Doe knows that there's a program in place, when he refers someone, he's likely to tell them "make sure you say I referred you". When the new customer joins, they'll likely remember to enter "John Doe" as the referrer. It's not bullet proof, but it's an easy way to start.CD

How can I go about finding a business partner for my startup?
Hello! Aside from the typical website platforms, I would recommend using Twitter's hashtags and user handles. Try following and using the ones that your potential prospect or otherwise ideal partners would be following and start sharing about your work, your progress, and outreach for a potential partner. If possible try to be local when doing so. But obviously, some to use include Startups.co, Basecamp, Inc 500, yesPHX, BetaBulls, MPV, Lean Startup, Lean Methodologies, TechCrunch, etc.HV

Is it possible to start a Social Media Marketing Agency with not much experience in Social Media and not much money?
I have to ask why you would start an agency in an area you don't have much experience in. Perhaps you'd be better off getting at least a little experience first?AV

Should I hire a bookkeeper? (what does one do exactly?)
NIcole is right. When I first started my business I thought I was saving money by doing my own bookkeeping. It took me much longer than it would take a bookkeeper - all time that I was not spending on marketing or billable activities. And in the end I made errors which made the initial work of the bookkeeper longer. I now have a consistent routine. My bookkeeper picks up all my material monthly and does my books in less than 2 hours. Very worthwhile.RL

How do i handle gift certificates when buying a business?
Great question, this is something that can be handled with a proper deal structure involving some vendor financing. I recently did a video about this very topic for one of my YouTube followers. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/hWm4ZQxWlEw You basically make the vendor's outstanding gift certificates a 'currency' which can be used by the buyer to repay the vendor loan. It's a net-sum game for the seller since he's already received the cash without having to provide the goods or services. Hope this helps.
