MenuHow or where can I go to find out which companies have annual company retreats for staff and how much they spend for it?
My event company targets corporate retreats
Answers
I would directly contact a list of companies and try to get a direct answer. Of course, you can try googling since you can find just about anything on the web. Give me a call for more advice.

Hi
These would be the common methods:
1. Contact them directly - but make sure you offer something in your email that makes it worth their while to answer your questions.
2. Run a paid/free survey (lots of platforms offer this service - just focus on your target market). If it's a free survey, offer a prize (and give it) to one of the participants.
3. Try using Google Alerts for variations of the phrase "company retreat"
Obviously you would need to know what you are doing with each of the above options so that your results are accurate. The wording in each question is important.
I've successfully helped over 300 entrepreneurs and I'd be happy to help you as well.
Good luck
Social media is the best bet for finding the company name but getting hold of spend is a little tricky.
I can help if you wish to go for a call.

I am assuming that you are in the corporate retreat management business?
If yes, I would start within your own geography since you'll probably have to do face-to-face selling and onsite delivery. I would target companies with 500+ employees. Within those companies, try to get to HR and any internal event planners. Companies with a large, active sales force is also a good target. Even is business is down, sales meetings are the last thing to go.
Set-up a call and I can get into more specifics once I learn more about what your company offers.

How do I create a conference concept document?
Try an infographic but if budget/skillset doesn't allow use a word doc and create a pdf. Whatever you do keep it short and sweet and a better suggestion is to use the body of an email for the actual pitch and the attachment/one pager or close too with supplemental info. No one likes reading and this is just an opener so they get a feel - you can answer detailed questions in a call/meeting

How do big organizations bring a sense of "belonging" to their employees?
The answer lies in creating an aspirational culture, or a culture of opportunity. Organizations owe their employees pathways for recognition and upward mobility, with inbuilt mechanisms for mentorship and skill augmentation. In a sense, organizations promote their brand to a customer and employees alike -" this is what we stand for, this is who we are, trust us, we will take care of you!" McJobs being devoid of these qualities are then high turnover, whereas the Starbucks job is a pathway to learning customer service and management skills under middle class values. But yes, creating this ethos takes enormous concerted effort! Complicating matters are trends of talent poaching and paypacket competition between industry rivals (this affects mid level and up more). Great question - happy to help you create a strategy of belonging!

There is a person working with you who has great skills but doesn't fit the culture, how far would you go with trying to help this person to change?
Backwards. I'd make sure that person didn't stay in the company. "One dirty fish muddies the whole pond" It's not personal or malicious - they're just not the right fit. A great skill set, while very important is always secondary to cultural fit if you really want your company to flourish.

How do I build my email list?
I am not 100%sure what you mean by by no platform, but I will answer as best I can. If you have a website (again I am not sure if this is what you mean by no platform), you could have an email signup list. What I see a lot of professionals do is give away something as an incentive like an ebook. If you have something that you can give away, people would need to enter their email address so it gets emailed to them and voila, you start building your list. I also use social media and as I make connections, my mailing list builds fast. I would be glad to schedule a call with you so I can share with you all of my strategies for building a list. I have 3 main strategies that I use to build my mailing list and can share them with you on a call. Bruce

How can I find ideas to keep people inside my booth in an event?
What you want to do is create a relationship with that new potential customer. People can only oo and ah for so long, so what you want to do is create a compelling offer to bring them in. This is why candy and treats often work. Whatever it is, make it instantly satisfying and memorable (homemade cookies, perhaps?). Then strike up a conversation about your product or service. Just remember to always keep the potential customer in mind.
