I sell sheepskin to furniture stores.
Right now I am cold calling all the furniture stores I can find.
I would like to talk to a wholesale expert about a more efficient way of getting steady customers.
I would recommend that you start attending industry trade shows in your area and/or country. These are excellent platforms to connect and network. I have organized and attended over 300 trade shows and events over the last 20 years, and suppliers and manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors are at these events.
Additional sources are with export offices, government entities, and other multipliers. There are also specific focus groups in the furniture business, as well as groups that you can connect with.
Let me know if you want to discuss this further in a call. Good luck.
Interesting business. Commodities like these are harder to sustain, one thing you can do to salvage your profits since the prices have been on a decline is to get in contact with import/exports housed in other countries. Australia G Britain have also declining prices. I'm sure here you are aware of sheepusa.org they should be able to guide to you someone more accesible to you, knoxinternational.com.au is another one. Get on linkedin and look out for executives and purchase agents representing furniture chains and their suppliers. Although, I a lot of the "american" furniture stores have their pieces built in some other country you should still be able to find some there.
