MenuHow to know if my app downloads are real or spam?
I got a snapshot from Apple saying April 2nd I received over 200 downloads that day, mostly in Europe and India. My app is a highly specific application for Chiropractor's and all marketing (very little so far) has been done in Canada/USA. Any insights as to tracking real vs. spam downloads and how to stop spammers?

Well, hopefully you have analytics embedded in your app. That should also give you an idea of how many users are real vs spammers. Also, what sections of your apps are being used more often. It is not too late to add the analytics to your app.
If you do not want any downloads from specific countries, why not exclude these countries for your app sale. Then you don't have to worry about span downloads, etc.
There are no spam downloads. Probably some people were curious about the topic

Can you offer 1-month or 1-week trials on in-app purchases?
You can't offer trials or even easily make refunds accessible via in-app purchases. What you can do is actually make manual deposits or write checks back to the users who ask for it. But the purchase behavior associated with in-app purchases really shouldn't require any promise of a refund. In fact, doing so might make people *less* likely to purchase being that you're telegraphing a weak offering. How should I hire an app developer?
First, you need to consult with someone who understands the complexity of the app that you request it. This person can be your friends who have background in CS or IT. Usually, people usually hire some freelancer or developer team and you pay it hourly. Once finished, you can just ask those team to migrate the ownership to you and hire some freshgrads in computer to just do maintenance of your app. you can check https://www.freelancer.com/.Hardi HalimHH

What day and time is best to release an app for best exposure?
The best day to launch your app is either Wednesday night or Thursday, because the iOS App Store changes features every Thursday and you may get featured that day as "New games..." "New app..." etc. Ideally all your marketing/PR/advertising efforts should start that day (Thursday) because Apple likes it when an app is being privately promoted at the same time it's being featured. Yes AdMob could work for you but please know that there are many other ad placement companies similar to AdMob that can work for you too. You need to see what kind of clients they have, if they match with your niche, etc. Usually this is a trial and error process, you start with several ads and you see which works and which doesn't, you improve, you cut them. etc. Good luckElba NinoEN

How can I publish an Apple app under my sole proprietorship?
Hi, I had an entrepreneur ask me this same question recently. Based on the information Apple Provides you can definitely enroll with a DUNS number. There is a difference in the process of enrollment but both sole Proprietors and Organizations can enter. Here's a quote directly from Apples on business procedure. "Sole proprietors/single person businesses can review the license agreement and purchase a membership at the time of enrollment. Organizations can review the license agreement and purchase a membership once Apple Developer Support verifies the enrollment information and sends an email with next steps. You can check the status of your enrollment in your account on the developer website. Be sure to sign in with the Apple ID you used to enroll." Hope this helps. Feel free to request a call with me, I wouldn't mind helping you analyze the situation so we can streamline you on your way to the answers you need.Jonathan LandryJL
