Product Manager @Wingify. Previously @Zycus and @ForbesMarshall. Expertise in B2B SaaS across various domains.
B2B SaaS Onboarding is very different from B2C. The typical though pieces you'll find out in the wild might not apply to B2B. I've revamped onboarding (multiple times) for 3+ scaled B2B products in different domains
Having expertise in a specific domain is great to start out as a PM. But its not a prerequisite to get a new role. In my career, I've shifted from industrial Internet of Things to enterprise level financial tech and SMB marketing automation. Understanding a new domain is not easy but its doable and very enriching.
Product Management is a challenge at the best of times. But its more so if you are from a non-technical background. I would love to help fellow non-tech PMs.
PS - When I started out, I fell somewhere in between. I'm an engineer but not a software engineer. So I can relate to both ends of the spectrum
