John is a recognized expert in public sector turnarounds leveraging over 30 years of Fortune 500 and private equity experience.  As a Managing Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers he led their first Public Sector salesforce responsible for sales in excess $125M which included the DoD, Federal Civilian and State  &  Local marketplace. After IBM acquired the consulting practice of PwC  John was promoted to Managing Director for IBM Public Sector Business Development in which he and his team generated net/new sales in in excess $750M in a two year period. John was recruited by KPMG to put in place the same structure he did for PwC and IBM with  five year growth in excess  of $900M. In 2009 John had his first engagement with private equity firm Lake Capital. He was brought in to and existing $150M acquisition to develop and execute an organic growth capability that allowed Lake Capital to sell the IT piece of the platform company for $75M. His successful reputation repeated itself with two other private equity firms Harrison Street and The Jordan Group. In 2016  John started his own consulting firm MEC 5 Consulting focused on private equity sector analysis, due diligence and post acquisition growth strategy.
