Manage manufacturing program for number of large-scale projects within the business including military, vehicles, aerospace & civil aviation. Plan production strategy including work cards, work instructions, inspection reports & costing estimates. Manage maintenance projects, modification & repair activities. Review & sign off technical drawings and resolve design queries. Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes including - sheet metal, turning, milling, pipe work, welding, laser cutting, brake press, CNC router, CNC 3/5 Axis & 3D printing. Detailed understanding of heat treatments, surface & paint finishes. Continuous improvement, to identify and analyse existing inefficiencies in the workplace, implement new ways of working to increase efficiency, productivity, delivery, quality, and safety. Developed and implemented a 3D scanning and printing system that reduced form tool lead times by over 80%, from 2 weeks to 2 days, significantly improving project turnaround time. Developed procedure to generate 3D scanned models of aircraft during the damage assessment / design modification phase. Reduced previous time-consuming process of photography and measurement from weeks into days. Managed £800k equipment upgrade capex project, this replaced existing machinery to meet the increased demands of new large-scale projects & improve efficiency. Project was delivered on time and under budget. Developed new system of managing assets for a deployable hospital system, including current stock levels, asset movements, storage solutions & the final deployment manifest.
