I will give you expert advice on platform selection, eCommerce business operations, eCommerce marketing and eCommerce best practices.
Really depends on the type of product and the standard within that industry. As an example, furniture items can take months to deliver. On the other hand, if you're drop shipping, and customers can get the product cheaper and faster from somewhere like Amazon you may have some challenges. The key in dropshipping is to distinguish yourself from an authoritative, content or other standpoint so that customers are willing to sacrifice cost or delivery efficiency for the security your "brand" represents.
This would really depend on the vertical of your company and the CMS you use. IE are you E-Commerce? Are you using a platform like Magento or Shopify, and if not E-Commerce, something like Wordpress?
This is important both from an feature set integration and economic standpoint. You'll want to find the provider that best integrates with your CMS to maximize its use cases and minimize costly custom development.
A few leading providers are:
Klaviyo, Bronto, Listrak
Step one is to set up a multivariate landing page with Unbounce.com - create several versions and test to see which yields the highest conversion rate to make sure that you're maximizing your ROI on ad dollars. From there use Perfect Audience (they have a 50 dollar free trial credit) to setup a retargeting campaign in order to keep top of mind for those that don't convert on the first visit. After these are setup, I'd do a combination of paid search and Facebook advertising. For Facebook advertising you can target by device - make the ads relevant - IE target IPhone users with ads such as "IPhone screen cracked? Call the top IPhone repair company in Ottawa - Free estimate - 100 percent guarantee."
I'd recommend finding a qualified operational advisor and offering some SMALL level of equity to keep all interests aligned, as well as bring further credibility to the business!
Bottom line - NO. Absolutely not. To hire qualified people to represent your company through comments, the cost would not justify the result. Hiring low paid workers to do this will only result in a bad reputation.
Dylan was very knowledgeable and insightful. Worth every penny, I would definitely call him again.
Dylan is a rockstar - he took a call with me even when he was sick. I will be following up with him and looking forward to many more calls together.
Dylan is one of those special guys that has more ideas than he knows what to do with. It's been a pleasure being able to work with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
We noticed results from Dylan (and Flank's) work almost immediately. Having worked with many digital media and SEO companies, I can confidently say that they truly experts at what they do. Dylan's knowledge, enthusiasm and results are second to none. He has helped us at JPR dramatically increase our footprint on the web and I'd recommend him to anyone.
Great guy to work for!
What set's Dylan apart from others is his ability to listen, absorb clients true desires and respond with the best creative solution. I hired Dylan in 2005. He was an immediate stand out with a rare combination of incredible business acumen, magnetism and accountability. He has consistent ability to perform at a high level and can always be looked to for an effective result. I give Dylan my most esteemed recommendation to any and all future opportunities. Here is a quote to describe Dylan’s remarkable approach: "The softest things in the world overcome the hardest things in the world." Lao-Tzu
I recommend Dylan Whitman. Geat guy, great execution and an eye for detail!
Unbelievable service, reliable, great communicator, and trustworthy. Always seems to have the answers to clients needs, works hard to get the job accomplished no matter the cost. Always dependable what ever your needs are. Professional is the best word to describe Dylan. When it is all said and done he is still there to help in anyway possible. It is my pleasure to work with him professionally and have him as a friend also.
Dylan's attention to detail is unmatched. His creativity when dealing with marketing is fantastic. Has an "outside the box" mentality and always find the positives out of every situation.
I have had the pleasure of several successful business transactions with Mr. Whitman. His resourcefulness and creativeness matches his "can do" attitude without sacrificing ethics. Equally, he thrives on professionalism with a high degree of spirit. It will be difficult to duplicate Mr. Whitman's talents.
I worked with Dylan to re-finance my home through Zillow's mortgage marketplace. Though Meg Whitman was the actual broker, Dylan was our only contact and walked us through the entire process. I was extremely impressed by his thoroughness and follow-through. Dylan helped us work through an incorrect collections on our credit report that affected the mortgage rates we could qualify for and essentially hand-held us through the entire process which took several months. I don't think many others in the mortgage industry would have have the patience and customer service to work with us through all of this. In addition, during this entire time Dylan was always in touch and easily accessible via email and phone at nearly anytime during the day or week. While it seems like he's no longer in the mortgage industry, I would highly recommend working with Dylan for any new venture!
