Direct Marketing Growth Strategy

There are only 3 ways to make more money: Get more customers… charge more money for your goods and services, or... get your customers to buy more often, or spend more money with you when they do buy. These last two are basically part of the larger strategy of "Increasing the average value of your customer or client." There are several strategies you can use to make more money. A couple of basic ones include developing a strong USP (Unique Selling Proposition), which basically answers the question every one of your potential first-time buyers is asking, and that is, "Why should I buy from you and not someone else?" Another one is communicating your benefits in an emotionally compelling manner. Remember, people buy from people they know, like, and trust - and your ability to push your prospects emotional buy buttons, is directly related to how much your prospects feel they know, like and trust you.

Emotional Direct Response Advertising

Over the last 22 years, I've consulted with 300 clients in over 110 industries. The lion's share of this work has involved direct response marketing strategy and implementation of advertising and marketing messages via ad copy. During this time, I've easily written over 4,000 emails, tele-seminars, webinars, sales letters (online & offline), ads in newspapers & magazines (lol yes i am dating myself), long-form sales letters (or "Free Reports"), and of course ads promoted on social media. I’ve also written loads of copy promoting myself and for other projects I was involved with outside of my consulting business. A mentor of mine once said, "You're only one sales letter away from your next million dollars," and while I don't know if that's true or not... here are some results I've obtained (more available on request): Online Supplements: Diet pill - my average sale $286 (industry average $140)... Krill Oil - my average sale $330 (industry average $225). Both supplements 35% of all orders took the first upsell – all to cold list buys... An affiliate campaign I wrote delivered these results for two client affiliates. Promo 1: 30.96% click through rate – and 100% of these people ordered. We didn’t do as well with the second promotion, but still... nothing to feel badly about, with a 44.68% click through rate, and 88.88% orders...

I happen to love generating leads, probably because before I got into marketing, I owned a financial planning practice and was absolutely CLUELESS how to do it. Once I began studying, and testing, and getting results... I realized that the truth is, having an abundance of leads solves most of the cash-flow problems a company have, especially in its younger years. My strength lies in knowing how to communicate effectively, create compelling offers, and knowing how to push your buyers emotional buy-buttons, in a motivational, believable and authentic manner. Couple of lead gen results, Online: A solo email drop lead generation ad, along with a webinar registration page, delivered a 66% on-page conversion rate for webinar sign-ups, with 17.4% of the entire list opening up the emails... Offline: A financial services professional in the Midwest increased his leads by 51% using a direct mail piece I developed. Because he was now also dealing with more qualified leads, his net cash-flow went up by 60%. Lead acquisition costs also dropped by 21%... More results available upon request
