I met Chris in 2011 when we were looking for a partner to replace an existing provider in one of our anchor programs. If there is one word I would associate with Goose Educational Media, 'persistence' would be it. Chris has been working on this project for the last 2-3 years (probably more) and I know he has encountered the dreaded Dip, yet he has fought through to create a truly valuable product. Another word I would associate with GEM is 'excellence'. Chris is one of those rare people who is constantly striving for excellence and fully committed to self-development, and he has created this website to help and INSPIRE others to do the same. To this day, I can say that Chris has been the best manager I have ever worked with. Those of you that have done sales know the difficulty of staying positive amidst leads that turn cold, no-shows, and disappointing closing ratios. Yet Chris was able to successfully motivate and coach his sales team to, in his own words, "Sling blades, baby, sling blades." And sling blades we did. Chris is an excellent manager because he communicates effectively, is open to feedback, and has an intuitive sense of adapting his managing style to the person and/or situation at hand. I would jump at the opportunity to work with him again, and am more than happy to recommend him to future bosses and colleagues.

Chris is doing some fantastic work at Goose Educational Media. The weekly book reviews are enjoyable and well written. Even if I don't buy and read that book, his reviews always give me something I can use to better myself. I would recommend that everyone becomes a part of the Goose community.
