I'm focused on one thing: invigorating more entrepreneurs to start and grow world-class business from rural communities. I spent 15 years in various business and economic development roles working with entrepreneurs in rural areas before realizing that there was a better, more effective way to do this work that wasn't reliant on government funding. So I launched my own company: Mashup Lab (www.mashuplab.ca). My work has exposed me to a LOT of different industries and business models over the years. I've learnt a lot about what it takes to turn an idea in to a successful business. I have a reputation as a "relational intermediary"; I may not know everything there is know about your business or sector, but chance are, I've built a strong relationship with someone who does that would be willing to help.
