Call 1 : We talk about your business, and it's market. We set up a google docs that will help you track everything, and you start generating your first keywords Ideas.
Call 2 : We will reverse "engineer your competition" to find their "money keywords" + "informational keyword" and design a plan to beat them. We'll talk about your target market behavior regarding search and semantic.
Call 3 : I'll explain you what are the top 3 variables to check to choose a good keyword (we'll go beyond Google's ad competition and volumes). We'll "weight" the keywords according to it.
Call 4 : I provide you with a list of all the keywords you are already ranking for to match them with your new keyword strategy. I like to do it at the end in order to have a "from scratch" approach.
Call 5 : We wrap-up everything (i want to be sure that you'll be able to teach my keyword research method to someone else in your team) and we'll prepare your editorial calendar for the next six months.
Option : Follow-up call
We can schedule calls quarterly to see how the strategy is going on, checking your Google Analytics and positions in Google.

Personal Note : Consulting is not my primary source of revenue ( i run websites and ventures that makes most of them).
I'm doing consulting because i like to meet new people in new industries, this is what made my day-to-day for nine years and i'm still a bit in need for it :-)
Having said that, and in order to deliver top quality consulting i'll only be taking 2 to 3 clients per month max.
