Zachary was wonderful to work with! I hired him to assist with a sustainability leadership community of practice I was teaching as an action learning lab at Portland State University. As a facilitator, he is very conscious of group dynamics and explicit about his choice points and processes, which make an excellent combination for teaching and modeling facilitation. In the design process, he brought a lot of facilitation expertise and creative design ideas for collaborative, engaging group process. He draws on his knowledge of agile and open source design models to apply as social technologies in groups. He is also a highly reflective practitioner and leader.
Zachary was a great asset to the Sustainability Leadership Series during my time in that cohort. He provided great tools and insights related to sustainability leadership, particularly related to facilitation. His diplomatic personality came through in collaborative planning sessions for the series on tough issues like institutionalized oppression.
I have known Zachary since January 2013. Zachary is a caring and dedicated professional. International students struggle while adjusting to the new academic culture and I found a lot of professional support from Zachary who was always willing to offer his assistance. He has been very approachable and always has an answer for every doubt I may have. From the time I met him, I perceived his commitment to diversity and inclusion in the work place. Therefore, I believe Zach will be an asset to any organization he will end up working for.
I met Zach on a camping trip. I was immediately amazed by his unique and intriguing way of thinking.

Zach is an excellent systems thinker. In fact, he's one of the best and appears to apply this ideology to both his personal and professional pursuits. I recommend accessing his strategic thinking, ability to listen, and continual optimism. I hope to work with Zach again in the future.
Zach thinks clearly and envisions possibilities that most of us overlook. He is realistic in his appraisal of actions, and energetic in execution. His intelligence is awe-inspiring, and his contributions to the work of MotiveSpace have been generous and effective. He tends to think like a programmer, which he is, and that leads him and us into some very productive areas as we shape a new and promising organization. With his record of hard work, I would bring him into any organization I was starting if he wanted to participate. I have confidence that his contributions would be timely, insightful, and wise.
Zach is a great problem solver, and a lot of fun to work with. He can tackle jjust about any IT related issue directly, and won't back down from learning new skills in order to get the job done. He also knows just about everything related to social media, and is an incredible strategist about effective online communication!
