Under his leadership, Tespa grew to 80 employees, boasting 270 local gaming communities on college campuses and dozens of owned premier collegiate esports leagues which distributed over $3 million in scholarships to deserving students. The organization’s hallmark league, Heroes of the Dorm, was the first major esports event broadcast nationally on ESPN and elevated competitive gaming to the national dialogue for good.

In 2013, Tespa was acquired by Blizzard Entertainment and Tyler expanded his focus to establishing & growing the business of Blizzard’s renowned esports titles. Work included leading esports efforts at BlizzCon, including 14 global championships which reached over 75,000 live attendees and tens of millions of online viewers across three years. As Blizzard’s investment in esports grew, Tyler built and lead the team responsible for global business operations & strategy, with a focus on business planning, strategic initiatives, innovative technology, commercialization, and revenue.
